On Trip.com it is called Xiting Hotel, but the hotel sign was Weiting Hotel, don’t get confused! They are the same :)
Everything went well. From check in, during the stay, until check out. Staffs were friendly and helpful.
Location was good. It is 7 mins walk from Shanghai Railway station (high speed trains station). There was also MRT station (red line) near that. If you take Didi (the ride hailing app), it will take 15 mins, depending on traffic.
We recommend this hotel if you go to Shanghai!

I've stayed at this hotel twice and both times have been more than wonderful. The front desk staff are friendly, helpful and are willing to make any accomdations you might need. Daniel went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The rooms are clean. We had an incredible nights sleep on the comfy beds. The house keeping staff offer a warm smile when walking past. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Can't wait to see you again.

First, the pros:
1. **Excellent location:** The hotel is just over 100 meters from the southwest exit of Shanghai Railway Station and only about 200 meters from the metro station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.
2. **Outstanding service:** The service was unbeatable. From the front desk to the door attendants and cleaning staff, everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming.
3. **Great soundproofing:** Although our family room directly faced the railway tracks, the double-glazed windows provided excellent sound insulation. We barely heard any train noise at night.
Now, the cons:
1. **Outdated facilities:** As it's an older, state-run hotel, many facilities are slow to be updated. For example, there's no laundry room or robot delivery service.
2. **Uncomfortable bed:** The bed, which was a spring mattress type, was too soft, making for a slightly uncomfortable sleep.
3. **Inflexible service policy:** The service philosophy felt a bit rigid. For instance, I had redeemed 5 breakfast vouchers through the booking platform for a four-day stay: two on the first day and one each for the subsequent three days. I later wanted to use all the vouchers within the first two days and then skip breakfast for the rest of my stay. However, multiple attempts to communicate this were unsuccessful; they insisted on adhering to the predetermined daily allocation. Additionally, while Ctrip stated that breakfast was free for children aged 17, the hotel charges based on height. I'm unsure where this discrepancy lies.
All in all, being able to book a hotel like this in such a prime Shanghai location makes it highly recommendable. I sincerely hope they can make some appropriate improvements.

I stayed an extra day in Shanghai as I was escorting clients back to Hangzhou the following day. I booked this hotel on Ctrip because it was close to my clients' accommodation, and it had a high rating. However, the moment the taxi pulled up, I honestly thought we'd made a mistake – the exterior was so poor it couldn't even compare to a standard budget hotel in Hangzhou.
Stepping inside, I felt slightly more at ease. It seems the hotel is quite old, and its exterior definitely showed its age. The road outside was also very narrow, making it a struggle to catch a taxi, often leading to long waits. Thankfully, the subway station was quite close, making it the best choice for transportation.
The room itself had a rather ordinary setup, though the hallway looked pleasant. A redeeming feature was the comfortable bed, which offered a good night's sleep. The breakfast area was quite small, and while the food was passable, the overall experience fell significantly short of my expectations, especially considering its high rating on Ctrip. I ultimately felt it wasn't worth the price.

I’ve been to Shanghai many many times and I’ve stayed at more than 10 different hotels and that hotel is the best. Service is amazing, hotel stuff is super friendly and helpful, I had an issue with receiving my parcel and they helped me a lot. Regarding the room, it is very stylish, clean and there is a lot of space. I came to Shanghai to travel and explore the city, but I really wanted to stay in a room, because it was so great. As for the breakfast, it is served at the top floor with nice terrace. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
The room was very clean. It was conveniently located close to the hospital, which was perfect for my family's medical visit. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. Overall, it offers great value for money for a downtown hotel. A big shout-out to the friendly lady at the front desk for her excellent service!

Why don’t you mention your hotel is under renovation? You have to notify the guest when making an online booking or in the confirmation.
We are having some meetings with our customer in your hotel, which is noisy and unprofessional.
We are very disappointed.
I generally feel quite comfortable with chain hotels, which is why I opted for Home Inn Business Travel. Upon my late check-in on the first night, the room I was assigned didn't quite meet my expectations. However, I was able to switch rooms the next day, and the new one was perfect – a good size, very clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The hotel breakfast was also a pleasant surprise; although the dining area is small, it's well-equipped and offers a good variety. Overall, I'd say this was a satisfactory experience!

SSunqieqiezhuThe location is excellent, just a short walk from Shanghai Railway Station with subway access nearby, making it very convenient. They offer free laundry service and, I believe, complimentary coffee, though I only stayed overnight. While the room isn't large, the space is very well-organized, and it offers excellent value for money.
BBen25wThe location isn’t right in the city centre as the name suggests, so worth double-checking before you book. That said, it’s close to a metro station so getting around isn’t a problem. Staff are helpful if you ask, and the room was nice and well kept.

GGuest User[E-sports hotel is a great experience! ] This e-sports hotel is absolutely amazing! The equipment configuration is top-notch, 5070 graphics card + high swipe screen operation 3A There is no pressure in the big work, and the ergonomic chair and mechanical keyboard feel super professional. The room design is full of future, cool atmosphere lights + sound insulation walls to create an immersive experience, gigabit fiber stability zero delay. The cleaning is meticulous to the point that even the key mouse is disinfected daily, the front desk provides snacks and drinks 24 hours a day, and the headset e-sports accessories are also intimately provided. Whether it is black or brushing alone, it is super comfortable. I don't want to check out for three days. It is definitely a paradise for e-sports enthusiasts. It is highly recommended to all gamers!
ZZKLinThis is my 2nd hotel around Shanghai railway station, Location I feel is the easiest to navigate at affordable price. Room is fairly clean and I appreciate the quiet atmosphere as compared to my previous hotel. The main issue is that inside out of my room has a strong cigarette smell during my stay. If you can take cigarette smell I think this hotel is suitable in terms of pricing and location.
__WeChato33Gsjvkr****The hotel's location is truly fantastic! It's situated right by some local goats (what a unique touch!), and the quaint streets nearby are full of cafes by day and bustling bars by night. I loved starting my mornings with a leisurely coffee (or two), and in the evenings, after a refreshing shower, I'd often stroll back out for a nightcap. The plane tree-lined streets were perfect for a delightful city walk. Plus, it's a super convenient 5-minute walk to the subway station. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, and its facilities are well-appointed. The room size is average, though due to the weather, it was a bit damp. We had booked a 2-night stay that included an afternoon tea package, and I spoke with the friendly front desk staff to swap the afternoon tea for a day's breakfast. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value for money, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserThis is the first time I visit to this hotel. The hotel is very big. I'm very impressed, large room and very comfortable with my girlfriend. The room is very beautiful. I'm so happy. I wish I would have a chance to come back to use the service again for sure.
NNuttawut S.The room is clean and spacious, conveniently located near both Shanghai South Railway Station and the subway. It’s only about a 5-minute walk to the station.

I would definitely stay again.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel has complete facilities. It is the best one among all the Home Inns I have stayed in. It is super clean, the toilet is very clean, the desk is very tidy, and I really love the mirror in the bathroom, which is super bright. It is very friendly to girls who take care of their skin and put on makeup. I even accidentally saw that there was not a single dust in the dead corner, which was unexpected. The environment is also very good. Having said so much, what I want to praise the most is the service. Everyone is very friendly and makes me feel like home. The aunt who cleans the room is also very kind. They greet me every time I enter and exit the hotel. The lady has a very sweet smile. She also has a laundry service that can help with washing and drying. The clothes delivered are warm. It is really worth recommending. You can shower with your eyes closed.
