Grand House Shaoxing was an 4000 years old village which had an ancient history, villagers surname Si (姒）were Dayu‘s (大禹)tomb guards for thousands of years. Now it is as a beautiful hotel with a lot of amenities ! Breakfast had many local specialties were very delicious ! It’s also had a big restaurant and wedding banquet hall ! Room is beautiful as in my photos. Hotel located only 4 KM from city centre, as taxi only cost less A$7. We stayed 3 nights, enjoyed peaceful country life, also the very busy tourist spot ! I must mention all the stuff in the hotel are so helpful, specially the young man who greeted us on arrival in the rain at night, helping us changed room because I can’t get to upstairs loft ! I hope more tourists visit Shaoxing and stay in this hotel, because it is a totally different experience from big city like Shanghai or Beijing, and you will not regret it.

Ended up staying an extra night and upgraded to a two queen room. It was worth the upgrade having the extra space of a little house on the street.

Surrounding like in previous ages, if you want to live like in former Chinese village style but with comfort and affordable price, that’s the hotel worth to try. Amazing huge park and amenities around. Definitely worth to visit for 1-2 days. Unfortunately no English, but could use my low level small talk chinese . Would go again. Very good breakfast!

Every guy on the shuttle bus is very good, and he took the initiative to help with luggage, and his attitude is also very good. The room was upgraded, and the location is very convenient. The room is opposite the pier for the Wupeng boats, and it is also close to the breakfast restaurant. I would recommend friends who go to Shaoxing to stay! The only thing that I think is not very good is the housekeeper. It is useless after adding it, and the text chat in WeChat is also relatively cold. The housekeeper's name is Lao Qinjuan. When I added a friend when I checked in that day, I reminded her of the breakfast time the next day. There was no active service notification afterwards, and there was no information even on the day of check-out. It is probably an individual difference. Other reviews also saw various housekeepers with good services.

A hotel with a very good environment. In terms of location, it is about 30 minutes' drive from Shaoxing North Station. There is a road near the hotel, close to a gate of Dayu Mausoleum. We didn't go to the scenic spot this time. We will go there next time when the baby is older. The hotel environment is nothing to say, there are water, bridges, flowers, and even Wupeng boats to sit, like a scenic spot. The service is also very good. We will contact you in advance the day before check-in to ask some needs and arrival time. When checking in, the room was prepared in advance and checked in directly at 12 o'clock. The housekeeper Xiao Li (Nanfan) kept in touch during the stay and asked us what we needed. Furong and Zheng Lan at the front desk were also very polite and patient. The room is large and well-equipped. As for the restaurant, the breakfast quality is also good, with many local specialties. If there is any disadvantage, the hotel may be generally soundproof, and the sound in the corridor is still very clear. A very high-quality hotel that will be recommended to others!

It is very wide for children to sleep. The bedding is comfortable. There is also a large balcony next to the water, which is very close to nature. The whole hotel is also very beautiful and has local characteristics. But there are also some unsatisfactory points: The service attitude is very good. It feels that the service staff have received professional training. However, the last 2 seconds of answering the 20-second question in Wu Nong soft language are useful. The response is really not quick enough. What I am most dissatisfied with is Yujiayuan Restaurant. It took half an hour to scan the code to order the meal, and the waiter didn’t ask. In fact, the food we ordered was served to other tables. . . When I felt that there was a problem, I went to find the waiter. After the waiter found that there was a problem with the system, he actually said that I must have scanned the code of someone else’s table to place the order. . . . How is it possible? ! I sit at my own table. I scan the code of someone else’s table to place an order? I think this is questioning the customer’s IQ! This meal took almost an hour and a half. I was very dissatisfied. The restaurant waiters were too inefficient and too stupid! Before leaving, I looked at the villa room types in Phase II. The rooms in Phase I are large and dimly lit, and the soft furnishings are arranged in an antique style, which is suitable for people who want to experience ancient residences. The rooms in Phase II are smaller than those in Phase I, and the decoration is more modern and ancient. The two phases are not far apart. ❸Hotel service: 9.8 points The hotel has shuttle buses for pick-up and drop-off throughout the entire area, and the young man took the initiative to help carry luggage throughout the whole process. (Seeing that other reviews are not very good, it should be that they have been trained later, and the management is very responsible) Take-out is also delivered to the door of the room by shuttle buses, and there is also a WeChat butler, who is also very responsible. Like my butler Li Qiuhao. *❹Hotel activities and meals: I will rate it after the experience next time The Chinese food in Dayu Courtyard is not bad, the price is affordable, and the noodle shop is under renovation and maintenance. It is a pity that I did not experience it. Yellow wine shop, hairpin flowers, tie-dye, etc. are child-friendly and couple-friendly. The hotel has its own Wupeng boat dock, and it is recommended to take a boat trip to Dayu Mausoleum and the inner waters. Compared with the Wupeng boats in the city, there are fewer people and exclusive scenery.

The hotel is located in the ancient town, which is quite nice. Bluestone roads, small bridges and flowing water, typical Jiangnan water town style architecture. The service is in place, the hotel is clean, tidy and beautiful. Every place is a scenery.

The most unsatisfactory thing was the breakfast this morning. Of course, there were many people on holiday today, but this was expected and prepared in advance; in reality, the lack of tableware was the most incredible. Breakfast ended at 10 o'clock; I went at 9:15; almost all was gone, including tea eggs and quail eggs. Shouldn't these be made in batches? The waiter kept looking at the watch at 9:30, expecting the breakfast to end. They were also exhausted. As for the room, the curtains were a failure; they used bamboo roller curtains, and light leaked a lot in the morning. The room has air conditioning and floor heating; but there was no indication.

The hotel has a nice view, the rooms are antique, the service staff is friendly, there are many entertainment activities inside the hotel, I experienced tie-dyeing and ceramics. I hope that next time I come to the room, I can provide slippers for bathing. 🩴 Overall satisfied

This is the third time I've stayed at a Kaiyuan hotel. It's a resort hotel with a very high level of parent-child comfort. The breakfast is very rich, and the children also like the swimming pool and children's playground. The housekeeper, Ms. Wang Hongmei, has a very good service attitude and actively responds to any needs. I must give her a thumbs up👍🏻

The hotel is located near Dayu Scenic Area. The whole hotel is very large, and there is also a scenic spot of its own to stroll around. The small bridges and flowing water, the black-sailed boats, are very characteristic of the Jiangnan water town. There is no need to go to the various ancient town attractions outside to squeeze in. Here you can check in and take pictures to replicate various Internet celebrity attractions. It is highly recommended! The hotel gave us a black-sailed boat experience, which took about 7-10 minutes to go around the lake, and we also gave us stinky tofu to taste! The child also went to the handicraft workshop to make a beautiful dried flower fan for me.
