Coral Sea Holiday Resort and Aqua Park

We are currently doing a hotel hop for a couple of months in Sharm and this is the 4th hotel so far this time, and our 10th visit to Sharm. So this is an honest opinion of uk travellers. Upon arrival i was dissapointed to see the lobby looked like an episode of benidorm,, i can only say the room looked like a airport departure lounge, people asleep on the sofas with towels over their heads, fighting to find a seat amongst a thousand suitcases and all this while waiting for our room key, when we were eventaully brought our key i felt this was rushed and no real detail given as to what to do or where to go etc, so in conclusion check in was a dissapointment. Once we arrived at our room things started to improve but only for a short time, the wifi is garbage and is so slow, capped at 5gb for the stay, we ended up not using it as the local sim card are so cheap it wasnt necessary. The room itself is superb, the bed so comfortable, the ac cold as you like and modern tv and spotless clean, however this is where it took a down turn for us, having paid for a swim up room we went to sample it, to find out the only things that would feel comfortable in this pool would be penguins or polar bears, im pretty sure if it was any colder you would need to break the ice to get into it. It was evident from the fact not one person was in any of the swim up pools that this is common across the resort. We did receive a courtesy call from reception asking how our stay was going, upon which i made my feelings known about the pool and the fact i feel ripped off due to the fatlct we cannot use it, all the other resorts i have stayed at have heated swim up pools so this was a big dissapointmet for us. There is a heated quiet pool not far from the room and it would have been nice to even have been moved to a room close to this but the promised call from the manager never arrived. We were invited to a cocktail night at the main upstairs bar where you were supposed to be able to meet the managers and share thoughts etc but i didnt see a manager in the time we were there so overall we feel annoyed about this. It is such a shame because evertything else about this hotel is superb. The food here is really good, plenty variety and availiable all day round. The food is probably some of the best we have had in all the hotels we have visited in sharm, the a la carte meals were also very good, the american mexican restaurant served lovely fajitas and the sari indian restaurant was excellent apart from the mint sauce that can only be described as nuclear waste (see photo) however it was tasty and staff once again superb. Room service food was perfect, hot and very reasonably priced. Grounds are impeciably clean and well maintained. Overall i would have given this hotel 5 stars but due to the poor attention by the management regarding the pool the whole visit has been a dissapointment, which is a shame because with small improvements i would have came back here in an instant, but at

It was amazing holiday, the weather was loverly and warm with average 27c and the entertainment team was brilliant they always life of the pool and getting everyone involved in the different activities. The hotel is well maintained and always helpful

Amazing hotel!!! Rooms were clean with a beautyful garden. The staff were amazing. The group of animators were very nice, helpful and friendly especially Viva and Abdo. It was great time in our first time in Egipt. Will be returning to this place.

A really safe and lovely clean family hotel. Booked 7 days as a last minute holiday with TUI. Greeted at the hotel with arrival drinks, driven to our hotel room by golf cars and personally shown around room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was absolutely spotless. The staff were lovely. Main buffet restaurant was clean and had a variety of food options to chose from. Every evening, it did a different theme. Didn’t get to try all the al-carte restaurants that you can book on self service screen as we went out to explore at night times but we did try the Mediterranean and stone grill house which was nice food. The hotel rooms were cleaned every day. Fresh beach towels everyday. Evening entertainment was good. Beautiful views, a private beach and huge pools. A few shops on resort. Play park which was good for small kids. Kids club was really spacious and had lots of activities for the kids to do. Gym / spa onsite too. Outside hotel complex has shops, McDonald’s and KFC (5mins walk). Recommend travellers to visit SOHO square and the OLD town (local taxis). The only down fall for this hotel was: 1. 5gb of free WiFi and then a small charge if you use it. 2. 1 heated pool which we used everyday as all the other pools including the kids pool but was just too cold to use in the winter. Shame really. TIP: you can download a taxi app similar to UBER in Sharm to get cheaper taxi fares. Hotel taxi wanted 600 Egyptian to soho square but the app charged 150 Egyptian. Completely safe and no haggling.

Stayed here for half term with two teen / tweens. The hotel is lovely, very well looked after. Family room is a good size and always kept clean. Block 10 was nice and quiet at night. Lots of fresh food on the buffets, lovely fruit and salads plus lots to keep the children happy. We mainly ate outside and the staff in that area were very helpful, especially Abd Allah. Two heated pools. Excellent attentive life guards who took their job seriously. Two water slides, the aqua park across the road is fun. The staff there spent a long time helping my daughter on the flow rider. The beach is beautiful, there is a small Patch of coral under the pier steps and we saw lion fish, Picasso fish and puffer fish. Sea is fantastic for swimming. They should consider adding artificial reef to attract more fish in their area. We did three trips with tui, including the snorkeling, desert trip and shark tour. Highly recommend doing the tour that includes the kind tut museum rather than the Hard Rock Cafe, museum was really good, our guide Ahmed really brought it to life. Couldn’t ask much more from a holiday, thank you.

What can I say this resort is amazing twice in one year! Honesty I cant fault this hotel I've been going to Sharm over 13 years & this is the best hotels. Staff are amazing they have become good friends, Gaber, Mo & Almed are just simply the best! in fact they all are perfect its one big family. The reception staff are one of the best I've been to for friendly & helping you. smiling & laughing. Food there's is fantastic lots of choice, lots of al carte restaurants as well staff are great always smiling & happy to help. Hotel is also well kept the gardeners do a fab job maintaining it. Had an amazing time within the resort. Food and staff were amazing. Incredible NYE party from start to finish. Also I have to say the violinist / pions man was wonderful. Did a special request for my fiancé on her birthday and made her cry it was that wonderful. Can’t thank him enough. Offered to tip and he refused to take the money and simply said “it was my pleasure” Incredible experience

The hotel was amazing, clean and perfection, every staff member had a smile and made sure you had everything you needed at all times, our room was automatically upgraded on arrival without us asking, everything was made every easy and simple, the resultants included in our package was also delicious but our favourite was the Indian - the main Buffett from breakfast lunch and dinner was delicious and never had any complaints Always clean fresh and hot, staff constantly walk round making sure everything is clean and not contaminated our room was clean every day by Ali and he also made sure we had everything we needed and always greeted with a friendly smile - the quiet pool was where we stayed mostly and the staff really did make sure it was relaxing as possible. You got your drinks order being refilled constantly and always checked on, the staff knew what you wanted before you did, especially hanny he served us mainly the entire week and was a pleasure. I generally had the most amazing time due to the staff this really is a 5* hotel, I will be back for sure and recommend. Me and my partner after 8 days there did not have a single complaint or slight inconvenience

THE ABSOLUTE BEST HOLIDAY , i don’t know where to start me and my partner and my family went away for 2 weeks in the 30* heat , had a lovely range of entertainment a range of fun with the animation team , dom platts ,abdo ashmawy and the rest of the team made us all feel welcome came as strangers left with some fun friends . In my opinion i would totally go back if I could . A wide range of food selections with a country ever night as a selection if you didn’t fancy that you could’ve gone to the village diner or the bamboo Chinese
