Such a beautiful place for vacation with family, delicious food, clean beach good services

We found the reception team/staff to be welcoming and warm as we did the restaurant and beach teams.. they cannot do enough for you. Kindness is met with kindness, patience is met with patience. Our room as 1399 on third floor. We had a balcony overlooking the beautiful marina which we felt was a quieter option than overlooking the pool and restaurant/bar. We had a fridge which was cold and fully functioning - space for water and other bits and pieces and the air conditioning worked and was good. There is an air con panel for you to choose the temp and the speed. So long as you keep your balcony door closed, the air con stays on. The room decor was good. It’s a hotel room and we didn’t expect it to be anything more... beds are super comfortable and plenty of extra pillows to choose from and space to relax in, vanity desk and chair, sofa and another relax chair was plenty! We were out all day and most of the evening so all we wanted was somewhere comfortable to sleep and change. There is a great hairdryer too, and I’m fussy usually take my own so all was well ! Fab spa and gym (opens at 07:30am) but there are running/jog/hike tracks around the resort so can easily get a good 5-8km run in - lots of weight machines, spin bikes, running machines, dumbbells only go to 12kg but plenty of equipment The hotel is a good 4* Greek standard - if you’re looking for 5*star deluxe luxury, this is not it but the hotel offers a beautiful location and facilities, fabulous staff and yes, I would return ... because it’s clean!!!

What can I say about this hotel it’s not 5 star more 3 at its best . Will we stay here again no sorry would not. The best bits was the food it was good , then it goes down hill poor room sheets that didn’t fit on the beds too small , poor sofa bed had to ask for a thicker mattress it was so thin no way could you sleep on it. Room cleaning poor the bathroom floor dirty and had to keep asking for toilet paper and only leaving 2 or 3 towels for 4 of us . Drinks poor for the all inclusive and only one bar at night open for the all inclusive and you had to fight to get a drink in there serving the paying customers first. entertainment very poor nothing much on at all we was in bed my 1O.00 pm must nights . The beach is poor but the sea is beautiful the swimming pools were very cold but once in you was ok. You had to buy your ice creams for the kids no swim up bar . All in all it’s not 5 star at all think twice about booking this hotel

This hotel feels like it originated from the Soviet era. It is dated, bland and a mass of concrete. It has no atmosphere or ambiance whatsoever. 25 of us arrived at the hotel at 1am after a long journey to find one person on duty a reception when they knew when we were going to arrive en masse. The rooms look as though they were last refurbished in the 80s and they reflect the overall monotone feel of the hotel. The air conditioning in the rooms barely functions as does the in room fridge so abandon any hope of cooling down in your room after a day in the sun. It is certainly not a 5 star. The breakfast is a perfectly acceptable food factory but does not have a luxury feel to it at all. I am here for a conference but why you would want to come here for a holiday, I do not know.

Pijamas were forgotten on the bed when we left.We called the next day to ask for lost and found and the hotel customer service promised to check with the cleaning services.Also we have send online request to be informed on our forgotten stuff.No reply yet whatsoever!

Where do I even start… we are still here and are actually for once looking forward to going home!! Let’s start with this hotel is not 4 or 5 star. The maximum id give it is 3 star and that’s generous. Rooms: Dull, a family room is one double bed plus a crappy pull out sofa. Air con works on and off I literally HATE the shower. The curtain doesn’t hold the water in and it goes absolutely everywhere. Balcony is 2 crappy plastic seats. Housekeeping can show up at 9… or 3 .. or anytime of day and be annoyed if you are in your room. All inclusive: Basic food. All the same. It’s boring. Every single night. The kids have gotten bored of pizza and pasta. Drinks: laughable options. Don’t drink the wine. It’s like drinking acid, utterly revolting. Get a beer if you don’t mind 50% froth. Oh… and find somewhere you can actually get your drink on the all inclusive. You can’t do that on the terrace of the news cafe, which is the nicest place to sit!! Also ridiculous times - 7pm is earliest, kids starving and tired by then. When we arrived the place was really full and people were literally barging me out of the way. Pools: Cold, dirty and all salt water. It’s not a swim up bar either so don’t believe that rubbish!! Everyone reserves a bed and don’t show up for hours so there’s nowhere to sit. The floors hurt and are filthy. The beach is littered with cigarettes. No one respects space, so they will pull up right next to you despite other places available. It’s not a sandy beach, it’s a dirty small pebble beach. Everywhere smells of smoke and wee. They’ve just set up a Texas holdem game on the first floor… stinks of cigars, people everywhere , congregating right by the rooms, we are devastated we weren’t told and praying the night won’t be noisy! Kids club Friendly staff but never stick to the planned activities. So if your kids like colouring for 2 hours at a time then it’s perfect. Kids running in and out so they have no idea who they are looking after. Kids disco is always late and they play the same 5 songs Entertainment: there is none… it’s sooooo boring! Singers in the news cafe - that’s it. And even then they just make the sounds of the song as they don’t know the words. Positives: only saving grace is the all inclusive meal you can have at the news cafe and Pefko. The portion sizes are out of control but very nice. Bed by 9 every night dreading the next day and we still have 4 out of 11 nights to go… Never again.

Very nice room, well equipped, bottled water every day. Staff very helpful and polite. Good choice of food however it was never hot enough which was disappointing. Dining room was very hectic and noisy. ****** very good as were other amenities. Very clean and maintained pool area. Short hourly ferry trip to nearest resort very helpful

Nice hotel spoilt by the attitutude of the manager of the News Cafe who treat guests as if they are criminals and thieves. Left us feeling upset and unwelcome so deducting 1 star for this. Also deducting 1 star because on arrival after a long flight and transfer we were resting in our room when suddenly someone with a master key unlocked our rooms door and walked in with what I can only describe as a large group of students. Still at the hotel now and so far it is not been a good start or relaxing experience.

After reading some terrible reviews I thought it to be important to leave my honest assessment of this hotel. First of all, it's not as bad as others have been making out. Some reviews said the hotel smells bad and another said it was too hot...The hotel doesn't smell bad at all and there is Aircon in your rooms. Here are some of the plus points in particular : - - long shale beach with many sunbeds and parasols. - nearby shuttle boat to nearby town Neos Marmaras. We got it 3 days as there are some really nice cocktail bars and a few tavernas. Also handy for getting cheaper drinks from supermarket. - food is good quality, lots of variety. - music entertainment every night. - Two main bars were open. One was shut but the two bars open were comfortable. - the nearby winery. - small mini market and shopping area. Negative points : - - entertainment could be more varied. I.e. a comedian or magician etc rather than just music. - drinks are a bit expensive. 7 euros for a pint of beer. 6 euros for a small glass of wine. - quite a lot of eastern Europeans/Russians although there are also some western tourists. - lift broke down a couple of times but it is fixed pretty quickly usually. Overall we have enjoyed our weeks stay in Porto Carras Grand Resort and not had much to complain about. It's a good place to come to relax as long as you can avoid the eastern Europeans and Russians 😂.
