Perfect stay !

We chose this hotel for its location, halfway between Garda and Verona, to spend a relaxed weekend, but also with various options for cultural and leisure activities. We hit it off right away!! We didn't book the hotel with the expectation of spending several hours inside, but more with the aim of staying there long enough to rest, and then concentrate on activities outside the hotel; yet, on the day of our arrival, after a short tour of the building, we ended up spending the rest of the day there. Welcoming and very attentive staff, well-maintained and clean hotel, clean spa services and precisely attentive to hygiene!! The only flaw I would point out, which however is linked to the place where the hotel is located, is the noise of cars. The hotel is, in fact, next to a freeway, so noise is the order of the day. Although this noise does not disturb when you are inside the building, it is always present when you open the windows or when you try to experience the external environment of the hotel.

Excellent hotel. Very elegant, very kind staff and wonderful spa (on the day we happened there were very few people).

We enjoyed a great week staying at the Saccardi spa hotel. The whole staff are definitely one of the hotel's greatest assets. The hotel is next to a duel carriageway, (but to be honest that did not disturb us at all) and on the other side of this was the airport, literally a 10 minute drive (again we were not disturbed by airport noise). We had booked this hotel through Jet2 City breaks and although Jet2 didn't supply transfers, the hotel did their own pick up and drop off during daytime hours. As stated in other reviews, the hotel is not much to look at from the outside, but inside it is open, airy and the rooms are spotlessly clean, if a little dated in their decor. There was air conditioning in room and a fridge with complementary water. For us Brits, I must admit I did miss the usual complementary kettle, coffee and tea in the room, so if you like a cuppa that you don't have to buy, take your own travel kettle! The only other point I would make is that there was only one available socket in the room, with technology what it is these days, rooms could benefit from at least an extra one, or the availability of multi adapters. As per other reviews, we were able to make use of the shuttle bus service provided free of charge into Verona City or Train Station, however as already mentioned these are available at certain times of the day (9am, 12, 4pm into Verona and 12.20, 16.20, 18.20 and 19.20 back) and can only accommodate 8 passengers at a time, so it is imperative that guests plan ahead and book as soon as possible at reception, as they get filled quickly. I will add that when we were there, extra journeys in and back to Verona were added on some days, I guess when demand was high and staff were available. (we wouldn't have minded paying a nominal fee for this service, perhaps this could be a way of allowing them to be more frequent)? The cost of a taxi into Verona was 25euros each way. Breakfast was lovely with a choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, continental ham and cheese selection, bacon and scrambled eggs, boiled eggs and pastries each day. The waiting staff are excellent, pleasant and accommodating and they make the best coffee! Dinner menu is a la carte and the choice is of good local dishes, with wine selections on offer being vast. Staff have great knowledge of local produce and wines. It would perhaps have been nice if there was an alternative evening meal available, perhaps the pool menu could be extended to include the evening service, as a la carte did get a little expensive over 7 nights. We used the spa on several occasions and it was never too busy. Again this was kept spotlessly clean. We even ventured into the outdoor pool on a hot sunny day, much I think to the amusement of staff, as they said the pool was open for guests, but it was cold! (They've obviously never swum in the Atlantic it summer)!! All said, we really enjoyed our stay here, it is a good base for trips to many other places and train travel is cheaper than i

Grateful to every single staff member working at Hotel Saccardi! Politeness and professionalism are the most tangible trademarks inside the hotel. Special thanks to Cristina (reception), Elisabetta (spa), Gianfranco (maitre), Giuseppe (head chef). Highly recommended.

We have travelled to Italy on many occasions and one thing that always stands out is the level and quality of the service by hotel staff, taxi and bus drivers. This holiday we stayed in the Saccardi Hotel & Spa close to Verona. This adult only hotel is what I would call an up market Premier Inn. It is a wine buffs and Italian foodies dream hotel as the owner has thousands of bottles of wine on display in the restaurant and cafe on splendid display. Food is exceptional though a little pricey if dining there every night, maybe should have done half board instead of B&B. My only fault is I forgot to take photo's of the restaurant. We booked via Jet2 as we have done on our last four holidays as their airport experience is second to none. Simple electronic booking in speeds up what is normally the worst part of any holiday. I chose the hotel as it was advertised as having a great spa and pool, unfortunately the Spa was only opened on Friday Saturday and Sunday, we booked two weeks. :( The hotel is located adjacent to a very busy dual carriage way and is part of a large transport hub. All though the road is busy, there is absolutely no noise in the bedrooms with windows shut and the air con is good. Jet2 have since changed the brochure details for the Spa opening times. We spent the second day in stunning Verona, too much to see in one day so we planned further trips later (free timed bus from hotel). On our third day we travelled by train from Verona to Bologna, just over an hour and 23 euro trip each. We walked to the centre of the city to view some magnificent churches and a castle of sorts, unfortunately we arrived in the middle of one of the largest rain storms ever in this area. Not to be deterred we viewed the church but on leaving I managed to fall down the marble steps outside which by now were awash with water. A doctor, first aider and policeman were on site virtually immediately . One dislocated shoulder later I'm winging my way through flooded streets in the back of an ambulance to Verona A&E. Besides howling in pain I'm now thinking of the cost of all this. I was ushered in to see a doctor on arrival who the wheeled me into an orthopedic consultant within minutes. Several XRays later and a lot of pain they reset my shoulder. All this happened within an hour of the accident, shame our A&E could not do the shame when my son did the same to his shoulder. On discharge they presented me with 5 pages of treatments, ***** administered and a detailed explanation of what I should do next and over the coming weeks. All this and no charge whatsoever, they didn't even ask for insurance details. Back at the hotel we called Jet2 to ask them to arrange an early flight home. This they did a couple of days later, they behaved impeccable throughout this unfortunate episode. No we didn't get to use the spa we would have liked to, we cancelled our three day trip to Lake Garda plus several other day trips, but I cannot fault the hotel or Je

I had the most amazing stay at this hotel! I travelled on my own and found the staff really attentive and helpful. The spa was incredible! I treated myself to a massage which was well worth it and used the well-being rooms and pool every day. I didn’t have a car and used the hotel shuttle service which was easy to book at reception for the airport or Verona city. I was half board and found the restaurant was excellent. The food was delicious and the service was a very high standard, Gianfranco’s recommendations for food and wine were always appreciated and I felt utterly spoilt in there. Anyone who has travelled solo knows it can be quite daunting depending where you go, but this hotel made everything easy and I had a wonderful stay. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Food excellent. Indoor pool excellent. Friendly staff though we were told it was advisable to book both lunch and dinner, only to find that the huge restaurant was largely empty. ! Lots of flies and mosquitoes around both inside and outside unfortunately.
