There is no air cooler in the room and my room got changed without my concern. I don’t recommend anyone doing online booking and don’t take rockside rooms. It smells bad and not worth the money and, there is no such sea view you would get from the hotel.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting - Really clean and room was immaculate. We ate in the hotel on the Saturday evening and it was pretty slow as they told us they were understaffed. Food was much too expensive for what was served - the food was ok but price was way above normal. We had a room at the back and a generator type machine kicked in around 6 each morning - impossible to sleep through it! A real pity because it was the only thing that took away from a lovely weekend. I would recommend you request a room at the front as you will want to avoid this.

Just had a great weekend at the Netherwood hotel from arriving to going home, the staff can not do enough for you. Also had a massage with Helen and wow it was amazing, when staying I highly recommend a trip to the spa. Also you are made welcome when going to have a drink by Dennis and Peter. And not forgetting Lindsay. See you in July can not wait to see you again and go to the spa again

My daughter and I spent a very relaxing and enjoyable day at the spa. We were celebrating my daughters birthday. We both had a massage which was really good, with a glass of prosecco afterwards. The Hotel was very grand with lovely views, it was raining on the day we visited but it would have been nice to sit outside and take in the view, on a sunny day. Even go for a walk in the nice gardens. I would recommend.

A really pretty hotel with wood panels, antiques and great views of Grange over Sands. It was good to revisit having stayed as children. The staff work hard and are helpful. However, it's all a bit hollow and missing atmosphere. The food shares a similar tone. Whilst there are a wealth of regional flavours, they appear to fail to reach the plate.

Super little bolt hole in south Cumbria, half hour drive from more popular towns Ambleside etc. Hotel is a traditional building but very well kept and clean. Our bedroom was dual aspect with views over the estuary and was large and spacious with a very modern bathroom. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and attentive. Adam on the reception desk Was welcoming and friendly And again nothing was to much trouble. We stayed one night on the way back from Edinburgh in was very pleasantly Surprised with the service and hospitality of all the staff. Would certainly recommend this hotel for a relaxing weekend.

We went for afternoon tea and had a lovely time . Service was good and the sandwiches, especially the smoked salmon and cream cheese, were delicious 😋. Cakes and scones were pretty good too. Great addition to my wife and daughter’s spa experience. Parking easy and great location and wonderful views over Morecambe bay. 🤩

We were expecting a little bit more from this hotel.. The spa was lovely, payed £40 extra not included in the stay price.. and the food was acceptable.. nothing wow but nice. It was extremely cold and uncomfortable to sit without a jacket on in the restaurant and bar area. There was nowhere to sit in the bar area it’s tiny, and all tables were reserved for meals, when asked where we could sit, the young lady said there are seats outside.. it was raining? Wasn’t a great first impression.. They have 2 lovely grand fire places- would have been good to have them on! We stayed in room 10- it’s not superior, only decaf coffee, cold and just old worn furniture, we were really underwhelmed. For what we paid it wasn’t up to standard. The waiter actually told us, they were busier in the week because they have brilliant cheap deals.. Not what we wanted to hear really when we had payed full price.. We wouldn’t return, due to the little touches not being 4 star standard, this hotel has such potential but we felt slightly disappointed
