The ANA Crowne Plaza KOBE by IHG is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The ANA Crowne Plaza KOBE by IHG is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Kobe. The hotel is conveniently located just 300m from Shin-Kobe Station and 9km from Kobe Airport. Just a short walk from Shin-Kobe Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. With multiple attractions nearby including Higashi Yuenchi, Moegi House and Sannomiya Center Gai Shopping Street, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Kobe hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Germaphobes can rest easy - the level of cleanliness is highly rated at this hotel. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Pros: 1. The lobby is grand and spacious, which is quite rare for hotels in Japan. 2. The location is excellent. There's a subway station right downstairs, and Shin-Kobe Station is just a 3-minute walk away, making Shinkansen access super convenient. The cable car station for Nunobiki Herb Garden is also next door, and Kitano Ijinkan (Foreigner's Residences) is only a 10-minute walk. 3. The view from the guest room window is lovely. 4. The breakfast buffet is of high quality, and there's also a Japanese set breakfast option (if you're staying only 1-2 nights, I recommend sticking to the buffet; for three nights, you might try the set meal one day). 5. The staff are well-trained and have excellent service attitudes. Cons: 1. The guest rooms' decor and furniture are quite outdated and lack design flair. They are overly simple and plain, not matching the impressive lobby. 2. In November, there was no air conditioning in the room. The south-facing room got a lot of sun, making it very stuffy and hot. I had to keep the emergency exit open to make it more bearable. Overall, it's still worth recommending."

AAnonymous UserThis time, our family of 6 stayed for 3 nights. Most people might have planned to have a BBQ dinner, but because it snowed for 2 days, it was a bit difficult to cook our own meals in the kitchen of the accommodation using local ingredients! Because there are too few equipment, only a small frying pan and a small soup pot, the equipment is relatively simple. I don’t know if it’s because of the cold weather, but both of the pipes in the bathroom sink are leaking… But the staff provided good service and were warm and welcoming, and there was no problem communicating in English! Because of this, when it was snowing heavily and the snow tires were useless, they took the initiative to contact us and come to provide roadside assistance. Thank you so much🙏 However, please note that if you are traveling with an elderly person, unless it is House 3, there is a pebbled slope before entering the house, which is quite difficult.

GGigidianqianGosho-bo is conveniently located right next to an orange souvenir shop, a common stop on the way from Kyoto to Arima. Upon check-in, guests are asked to change into slippers for use throughout the ryokan. The luggage service is excellent; they bring your bags to your room upon arrival and down to the lobby after check-out, saving you the effort of carrying them up or down stairs. Both breakfast and dinner were generous and delicious. The restaurant boasts a charmingly retro atmosphere, with a vintage feel that is impeccably maintained. The public Kinsen (Golden Spring) bath was wonderful. It's a semi-mixed bath, and my skin felt incredibly smooth after soaking. However, a family member who was with me developed mild allergic reactions like peeling skin and red spots.

CCoCo.ChanelI booked this hotel because it was touted as one of Asia's top 100 onsen hotels for 2025. However, apart from the hot springs being decent, every other aspect of the service was a massive letdown. To begin with, both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast the following day were truly subpar. The room was dreadfully small. Furthermore, despite inquiring about kimonos (as there were none in the room) with both the front desk manager and a server, who assured us they would send them up shortly and even took our sizes, not a single kimono materialized by the time we checked out the next day. We paid over 7,000 RMB for a family tatami room for four, including breakfast and dinner. At this price point, anyone staying here is simply getting ripped off. There will absolutely not be a second visit, and I also sensed a certain unfriendliness towards Chinese guests.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, built on a mountain, with a good view from afar. The public lounge area is very comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and the food and beverage services are very professional. There are ********* lady clerks who can serve in Chinese and are very friendly to Chinese tourists. However, as a hot spring hotel, this one has two fatal flaws. First, the hotel has only one hot spring bath, and the size of this public bath is very small. If it is placed in other hotels, it may only be enough for a private bath. If you focus on the hot spring experience and want to soak in a large bath, this one may not be the first choice. Secondly, the hotel is a pure wooden building with poor sound insulation, and the window of the hotel room faces the generator, which will continue to make huge noise at night. Even wearing earplugs can't stop it, which makes it difficult for me to fall asleep all night. Although I have a good impression of the room and service, I am sorry that the above two defects really affect the experience of hot spring healing. If it can be improved, it will be perfect.

CChanEdwinThe service of the staff is superb and way beyond expectation.  I noticed that the yugata for my wife is men’s size and my slipper is women’s size. I hope they can be more prepared on the suitable sizes to be available for guest. The only thing I don't really like is the toilet room inside the Japanese style room. The wall paper has lots of stain spot, smelly and it is not quite comfortable to stay even for a short while to do your thing when you have a need.

AAnders L.Stunning views, almost all rooms face west towards the bridge and sunset. Excellent location, the beach is right in front, but you have to cross under tracks and highway, 5-6 min walk after you exit the escalator. Beds in adjoining rooms are large, we could easily fit a family of 6 in 2 rooms, and you even add extra beds if needed.

GGuest UserThe front desk service is very good. The room is very good, the floor-to-ceiling corner window has a beautiful view outside the window, the room facilities are very new, the room facilities are very complete, the room coffee and the refrigerator are very rich, the drinks are full, very considerate. The shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are all Bulgari, the experience is very good. They also thoughtfully prepared men's and women's skin care travel packs, which is very attentive. I would like to especially praise the staff of Hiroko-san who has been serving us since we received them during our stay. They are very enthusiastic, very attentive and very nice. The experience brought to us during our stay was very comfortable and very good. I look forward to meeting Hiroko-san again next time I stay.

AAnonymous UserAccommodation is super convenient- comes with different types of sauna and onsen, and restaurants inside the hotel! The staff will set up futon in our room- affordable option for those who are looking for a ryokan experience. We also love the hotel breakfast! Feels v well nourished after that, esp after soaking in the onsen :) we also love the matcha senbei crackers that the hotel gave us and bought them at the souvenir store too. Highly recommend!

Sslwdh****An excellent hotel offering superb value for money. It's conveniently located very close to the station, and the front desk service was also great. Check-in strictly begins at 3 PM, with no early options available. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are impeccably clean. The hot springs were incredibly relaxing, and the Kaiseki dinner set was plentiful and satisfying. It was delightful to unwind in the onsen and then take a pleasant stroll through the charming local streets. Breakfast was also good. Overall, a very satisfying stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

AAnonymous UserFrom Osaka Uehommachi, go directly to Uozaki (Google Maps says ”no transfer” means you get off and change to the next bus at the same platform), then transfer to the Rokko Express (which offers a wonderful view and a unique experience). Get off at Island Center Station three stops later, and the hotel is right at the East Exit of the overpass. Bus No. 23 is located on the first floor of the hotel, reaching Kobe Mita in the city center in about 20 minutes. The stop is right in front of the Hankyu Department Store. There are also buses to Shin-Kobe, but they run less frequently. The bus to Kobe Airport is also on the first floor. Reservations can be made at the front desk, and there's a self-service ticket machine at the entrance. The earliest bus leaves at 6:23 AM, and the trip takes just over an hour. There's a FamilyMart convenience store next to the hotel. We booked a terrace room, which had a large outdoor terrace. The hotel's Hama Onsen is open until midnight and features several large and small pools, including an outdoor area. It's a great place to soak after strolling through the streets.
