The owner has some design background, and the overall feel is minimalist and aesthetically pleasing. 【Facilities】One room even has two separate bathrooms and showers, which is incredibly luxurious and definitely deserves extra points! 【Cleanliness】Very clean. As you can see in the pictures, the lobby and rooms are bright and spotless, with no unpleasant odors. 【Bed and Air Conditioning】The mattress is very soft, not cheap bedding, and feels great against the skin. You don't even need to put on a sheet cover, which is very convenient! The air conditioning is also very powerful, yet it's surprisingly quiet, not disturbing your rest—better than many five-star hotels! 【Entertainment Facilities】The pool table is relatively new. I played a couple of games there every day—so comfortable! Also, there's even a free Switch on the second floor—can you believe it?! 【Food】The owner was incredibly welcoming, recommending many restaurants on the first day and even picking us up and dropping us off. None of them were bad! Especially the **Shell Boxed Meals—yyds! I ate there for a week! [Fun] The owner is quite playful; he brought a drone to play with us. A few of us went to a small canyon with Danxia landforms. This place was even more interesting than Xiaodongjiang, which I visited later, because it was undeveloped and more pristine! [Other] The owner also sang karaoke with us and introduced me to a song called ”Post-Rock” (or ”Slow Rock,” I can't quite remember). The song was fun, but it didn't do justice to the owner's personal charm. His goal this year seems to be skydiving or paragliding; I wish him success! [Summary] Danxia red cliffs reflected in the setting sun, Chenzhou is like a dream, no need to return! Mugen Youth Hostel, definitely worth a stay!

The biggest plus for this hotel is that it is just 850 meters from the tourist attraction for which we came. The GaoYi Ridge, also known as Feitianshan (飞天山高椅岭景区) Scenic Spot. This is a small family run hotel which does not have an elevator. But the owners help you to carry the luggage up. The room is small but adequate, the furniture and bathroom fittings well appointed. The toilet kit was standard, though I normally do not use the disposable toiletries. There is a restaurant a stone's throw away from the hotel, which served us adequate food even late at night. The biggest disadvantage for this hotel is that it is about an hour's drive from the Chenzhou West Railway Station. But that did not deter us because our purpose was to go sightseeing for the GaoYi Ridge Danxia Landform.

It's very close to the east gate of Mangshan's Five Finger Peak, perfect for a one-night stay before heading out for a hike the next morning! The rooms are decent, and there's a restaurant where you can order food, which is delicious. The B&B is nestled in the mountains, so the air is quite good, and you can enjoy some fresh air in the rest area at the entrance.

The price of 200 yuan for less than one night during the National Day holiday (twin room), very satisfied, like high cost performance, inclusive can enter, you get what you pay for. This price, and it is so close to the scenic spot, is very good. The appearance of the villa room is average, a row of bungalows, the room is much more comfortable, well-equipped, independent bathroom hot and cold water, air conditioning. The room is large, the bedding is new, clean, hygienic, and there is no discomfort after sleeping. It is not easy to walk a short distance in front of the villa. You should pay attention to safety when you drive at night. There are no street lights on the mountain road. It is recommended to come and stay before dark. The problem of mosquitoes, the merchant has improved, after all, it is on the mountain, the merchant installed screen windows in the room, and ordered mosquito repellent before we checked in. A simple breakfast is provided, 15 yuan a copy. The merchant no longer buys tickets on behalf of the merchant. It is recommended that you have a discount on group purchase tickets. 2025.10.02 During the National Day holiday, we landed at Zhangzhou Station on the first day and rented a car to stay in this villa at night. There are a lot of parking spaces in the villa for free parking. The next day, we got up at 7 o'clock and walked for a few minutes to the west gate of Gaoyiling to enter the scenic spot. Finally, we climbed to the top and went out of the scenic spot at the north gate. It took 3 hours, all the essence sections, saving time and effort. The north gate scenic spot called the online car about 16 yuan and returned to this villa. You can also take a bath and change clothes and eat at the villa at noon. If you have dinner, the price of the farm is normal (not expensive, not cheap, not cost-effective), and you can order your own meals. Check out after lunch and drive to the bamboo raft in the Feitian Mountain Scenic Area in the afternoon. This is a very suitable route. A lot of physical strength is consumed in the morning. In the afternoon, the bamboo raft can be repaired without any effort. The mountaineering weather in the morning is not so hot, relatively cool, not afraid of heatstroke, the sun is too big in the afternoon, the sun is just right, and it is blocked.

For cat lovers and those who don't like cats, look no further!! A friendly and adorable tabby cat named Xiaohu will fill your heart's content! 🤣😍 The lovely young lady owner of the guesthouse provides impeccable service. We stayed here for four nights and thoroughly explored Mangshan's East and West Gates and the surrounding area. The guesthouse is clean, with plenty of hot water and air conditioning that's both warm and cool. The price is reasonable, and it's close to the scenic area entrance with many delicious restaurants nearby. Tips: 1. There's a great Tujia restaurant about 50 meters away with large bowls of dishes. The Yao ethnic minority owner is very friendly and the portions are generous. Recommended dishes: Chicken hotpot, bighead carp hotpot, fern root rice cakes, dry-pot cauliflower, and various stir-fries are all excellent. 2. The guesthouse doesn't have an elevator, so you'll have to carry large luggage. There's no refrigerator. A microwave is provided for simple food heating. 3. There's a pretty good breakfast place next door that makes ”pig-killing noodles,” or you can turn right at the alley in front of the Liangxin B&B and find a local breakfast shop with good steamed dumplings and rice noodle rolls. 4. The ticket for entering through the West Gate is for two days. Remember, if you want to explore the General's Village scenic area, you must go counter-clockwise… If you don't believe it, you can try going clockwise 🤣 5. If it's cold, after one person finishes showering, the next person should wait a bit, otherwise there might not be enough hot water.

Pros-No far from Chenzhou train station, two bus stops by public buses and walked about 350 metre to reach the hotel. We arrived at Chenzhou West High Speed Train station (which is far away from the city centre) from Guangzhou and there is regular public bus plying the route between the two train stations. So transportion in between is easy and cheap with two Yuan bus fare per person. If you do not have the bus apps for digital payment, prepared One dollar Chinese Yuan note or coins before hand to pay in cash. Cons-No lift and registration for the stay may take longer for foreigners as the computer system is not updated for the latest Visa free countries.

The front desk service is very good. The room is clean and hygienic. There is free parking and laundry. The bed here is very comfortable and quiet. Shopping and transportation are very convenient. There are also free roasted sweet potatoes. Highly recommended. Xinglong Pedestrian Street is right next door, which is very convenient for eating, drinking and having fun.

The location is excellent, opposite the Xiaodongjiang No. 2 observation deck, the boss and his wife are enthusiastic,  help lift the luggage upstairs. Dinner is provided, and a fish with a mouth is very fresh and tender. It is a bit damp. There is no door or curtain in the rain room. The water flows all over the place. Pay attention to non-slip; you can use  disposable bath towels to dry the water on the ground as much as possible to prevent slipping and falling.

Overall it's pretty good, the environment is pretty good and the price is affordable. fine
