Hotels in Taipei Maokong Gondola, Taipei

It is our first time to go to a motel. It is probably a good place for staying. The room is big enough for two people, and the Jacuzzi is even better than the one I tried in Thailand. Although there are not many food options for the breakfast buffet, the price is affordable and acceptable.

A very comfortable and convenient hotel. The staff is very friendly. I think it's a gem among hotels. It has a great atmosphere, a large lobby, and space to chat with people. We felt like we were back 50 years ago, but in a positive way. The breakfast was very good, and the short walk to a nearby restaurant wasn't a problem. I recommend it. If I'm ever in Taipei again, I'll definitely be back.

It is close to Exit 1 of Zhongxiao Fuxing Station MRT station. There are snacks nearby, which is very convenient. Although the room type booked is small, the overall environment is clean. If you need an extra quilt, we will also provide it. Thank you very much. It is worth mentioning. The counter staff are very friendly and the service is very good 👍

The room offered a panoramic view of Taipei City, including Taipei 101. The front desk service was incredibly thorough and attentive, explaining all the benefits and amenities available during my stay. The bedding in the room was exceptionally comfortable, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The location is convenient, but the hotel lobby is small, the lights are so dim, and the children are quite frightened, because the floor corridors are eerie, dark, with deer heads, red lights, no facilities, the rooms are okay, the swimming pool is too small and dilapidated.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, which offered a warm, inviting atmosphere with its pleasant lighting and comfortable spaces. The check-in process was smooth and efficient thanks to Karen, who was professional and welcoming. The lobby layout can be more intuitive.The check-in counter are somewhat tucked away at a corner, making it unclear at first where to go. Kimberly went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Her attentiveness, cheerful demeanor, and genuine care for guests’ comfort made my experience truly enjoyable. The room is spacious and clean. I just don’t like that the hot water takes ages to heat up—it’s such a waste of water. Overall, this was a great stay, largely thanks to staff like Kimberly who make guests feel valued. With slight improvements in lobby signage and faster hot water in the rooms, this hotel would be outstanding. I would gladly return and recommend it to others.

Amazing location right in the heart of Taipei. MRT (Subway) right outside the entrance. Starbucks across the road and MacDonalds just down around the corner. The team up there are so inviting and they allow early luggage drop off before 3pm. This allows you to go and explore without worrying about taking the luggage everywhere. Due to being right up the top 2 floors you have such beautiful views of Taipei day and night. Smokers area just around the corner from reception.

For the price you pay, it is definitely good enough!  Check in and check out was very smooth and the employee informed well what my room includes and reminds of breakfast options.   They help to hold luggage after you check out. The room itself has this ramp in the room and the ledge into the bathroom is huge so I stubbed my toe a couple times and it was painful.   It was one of my first times getting a room with no window and it definitely makes a difference to a stay to not have sunlight in morning, so if that matters to you, don’t come here.   I chose this as I just needed a place to shower and rest before a flight.  The wall paper was worn down.    Amenities in mini bar was complimentary which is a nice gesture.  For a one night stay, i didn’t need to go out to buy water as i had 2 bottles provided.   Large enough space to open luggage and still have walking space, and it felt like it was a king size bed (or 2 doubles together).  Aircon works well.  Ideal location on blue line to get to Taipei Main station to take to Taoyuan airport and one of my favourite dumpling restaurants downstairs (Lin’s steamed dumplings).

The room is clean and there is 7-11 nearby. There are also many restaurants near the hotel. The location is convenient.

Excellent location, within walking distance to the main shopping district. The room was clean and odor-free, and the front desk service was very warm and welcoming. My stay exceeded expectations. The soundproofing was great, allowing for a peaceful rest. It's excellent value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town.
