Anantya in the Village

Spend two nights in Anantya in the Village and had a amazing experience. First of all the location, right in heart of the small temple town . Next to the temple and ambience of the temple permeates the resort. The main aim of visiting would be to see the cultural heritage of the bygone era. The resort though not luxury but simple and aesthetic clean and hygienic. The staff from the nearby village are genuine and gives the flavors of the village experience. I must say the staff was able to anticipate every requirement and always willing to go the extra mile. South Tamilnadu is not a regular tourist destination. Anantya in village is ideal base for a couple of days from culture heritage of temples build by Pandiya & chola dynasty . ***y ancient temples are easy drive from Anantya worth exploring. The natural heritage of the countryside in its raw form. The beach is about 45 min . Bird sanctuary and tiger reserve within driving distance . From east to west with span of two hours from sea to the western ghats . Last but not the least , the culinary flavors are outstanding and authentic. Anantya is vegetarian but never missed anything.

A wonderful 3 night stay. The Staff was extremely warm and forthcoming. The place was homely, the vegetarian food lip-smacking. Decor traditional, beautiful. The hotel is located within driving distance of ***y temples and an archeological site. The person who curated the trip was extremely knowledgeable and gave ùs good insights into the social, historical and mythological aspects of the area and specifically the temples in the vicinity. All of this made for a near perfect break for me. Hope to go back some time.

Our host, and property owner, who is a renowned historian, scholar, author, speaker and spiritual seeker was the best part of the stay. Actually , No. The property’s quaint setting in an innocent, throwback traditional village neighbourhood was even better. Actually, No! The chef Nitish, Shivraj and all staff were a notch superior. I just cant make up my mind…. Maybe its the proximity to several divine, stunning, less-known temples that was the crowning jewel… Just go!

Anantya by the village is this thoughtfully designed place drawing us closer to our roots. The stay we had was so peaceful and reminiscing in every way. The beautiful art work all around the property added with the experiences created through "Alwar Pasur" renditions is a great way to bring divinity to every guest who come in. The hospitality is impeccable with Sivraj at helm taking care of us. The food was so homely yet specially curated for the guest needs. What more to ask of a holiday than this. Thanks to the entire team and the curators behind this wonderful initiative.

I stayed at Anantya in the Village for 2 Nights during Jan 2024. I would classify this under Small Boutique Home Stay. The property has 8 Rooms spread across two level with each level having 4 Rooms each. The rooms at the property are of moderate size with ease of movement for 2 Adults, however the room may look cramped if the group size is more than 2. There is no provision to add extra bed in lower level rooms but can be added in the upper level. Extra bed definitely makes the room very congested. The bed is comfortable, decent sized washroom with complimentary toiletries. Good Aircon to keep the room cool during the hot days. Hot water is challenge during early morning as hot water is connected to Solar Panel. Food is simple, homely, freshly cooked, Vegetarian and served in small dining area next to the rooms. Don't expect a variety or choice in food options. The chef dishes out decent North Indian and Delicious South Fare. The location of this property is in a street lined with houses next to each other and is behind the main temple of Alwarthirunagari. This property can be used as an excellent base to visit Nava Tirupathi Temples, Tiruchendur, Village Visit etc.,. The hotel staff can recommed sightseeing options and arrange guide and transportation as per gust needs. Having your own vehicle is recommended. The property does arrange transfer from Tirunelveli & Thoothukudi Railway Station as well have airport transfer from Thoothukudi Airport. A special mention and appreciation to the entire team at Anatya In the Village Specially Sivaraja, Chef Subodh, Ramesh, John, Anu and Ranganayaki for making my stay comfortable at Anantya.

Service was great. Very beautiful homestay with great food. Sivaraj and staff were wonderful. The rooms were very clean. Chef Nidhish is a very talented chef. Lovely peaceful village to destress and recharge. Enjoyed our tour with Sivaraj.

Anantya in the Village is a beautiful and artistic homestay built in great traditional architectural style with so much care and thought, in the midst of the spiritual village of Alwarthirunagari.. Felt absolutely blessed to be there to visit the magnificent historic temples nearby, enjoy the culinary delights of Tamil Nadu at Anantya in the Village and also have a special birding experience ***** the Thamirabarani wetlands..Kudos and Thank you to the Team at Anantya for your kind hospitality and for all insights, guidance and sharing knowledge through the videos and QR codes at Anantya (amazing concept) ..It was an absolute delight for my Mom and me to be there..Highly recommend this place for those wanting to have a rich cultural experience in Tamil Nadu..

We had gone on a pilgrimage trip and stayed at Anantya in the Village...fabulous property ,wonderful service . Sivaraj, Anu ,John , Ramesh went out their way to make our stay extremely enjoyable. The food was fresh and delicious. Lovely ambience, walls with quotes from nammalvar map of the region with all temples as painting on the wall ...this is a resort that needs to be experienced.

Nestled among street homes, ***y now falling apart, This exquisite 'Homestay' is truly a piece of Art. It captures within its walls, a time now to memory confined, Yet in style and 'get up' a 'Home' well defined. This little 'Island' in Alwarthirunagiri is a must to visit, Any tourist who comes here will I am sure so insist. This Village with Devotion is so suffused, Where History is not lost nor culture refused. Before this Town and place of Worship, Turns into a modern Township, I entreat those who read this visit and know, Where Tradition and Devotion ***y centuries ago was sowed; There is much for us to here learn, And thus enable us to our forgotten heritage discern.
