The accommodation impresses guests with excellent value for money, friendly staff, and convenient location near ski lifts. However, some may find the facilities and service lacking.

The value for money is good. All inclusive really is all inclusive. The rooms are slightly dates but warm and clean and the beds comfortable, although the walls are paper thin. The food is fine, standard all inclusive buffet. Don't expect top notch for the price of the hotel, but there was always something decent and plenty of it. however, I have a food allergy and they only labelled the food some of the time, when I asked the staff what I can eat, they told me the wrong things!!! I.e. being severely gluten intolerant they told me I could have pasta??!!!! Also the information given out was ZERO! There was nothing in the welcome pack, in the room or around the hotel saying what time mealtimes were. We only knew when and how to book the spa because we asked! We didn't realise until half way through the week they would provide packed lunches as nothing was communicated about this, but they do which is a good thing if you know about it!! The entertainment was good and the staff put a lot of effort into it!! The drinks included in all inclusive were decent. My husband wasn't a fan of the beer but that was his preference, I was drinking bombay gin all week and there was a selection of cocktails included. The location is good easy walk to lifts. All in all good value for the money paid!! The phrase you get what you pay for. If you want a budget hotel that is warm and clean with plenty of food and drink and in a good location to the lifts then this hotel is for you. If you want all out luxury with top quality food then this is definitely not the right hotel and you will need to pay a lot more for that. The main criticism I have is the communication. An information leaflet would have done with meal times, how to book packed lunches and spa etc. I think that would have made the biggest difference for us!!

We had a surreal experience at the MMV Les Brévières, mostly because we expected a normal 4-start hotel... Starting with the bedroom: beds are OK but a bit smaller than standard singles (pushed together), and the mattresses seem a bit smaller than the base; my bedside lamp didn't work, nor did my switch for the room lighting; the heating wouldn't stay on during the day; the whole room and bathroom had zero ventilation... except for an opening between the toilet and shower rooms! Dining: the eating area was more similar to a school canteen than that of a hotel (dirty, noisy, basic furniture...); the food was at best unexciting (sliding to unedable, such as the "scrambled" powdery eggs) and repetitive (except for the bread, which was excellent!); many plates and cutlery were dirty; the wine was basic; attention to higiene was minimal (example: they served shrimp one night, and the next morning I found a shrimp buried in the butter dish). Staff: mostly very friendly, but totally inexperienced! I had the feeling I went to a hotel school, staffed with young adults from various parts of the world, but without a supervisor. They often didn't even know their own hotel's rules, couldn't offer solutions to simple queries and generally were more focused on tasks than on client satisfaction. Service: don't expect normal hotel service. Rooms aren't cleaned on weekends, towels are only changed on Tuesdays and Thursdays regardless of need (which, with the heating turned off during the day, meant we couldn't dry the towels in our un-ventilated room and had to live with wet towels most days), sheets are theoretically changed on Wednesdays, but weren't changed at all for the whole week in any of our 3 rooms. These are only the main comments I could make about this place. My review gets 2 starts instead of 1 because the location is superb...

Generally a good place to stay. However, a few things have let my trip down with MMV. First of all, the room interlinked with the room next door connected by an internal door. This was unlocked. After asking 5 times for the key to lock the door and being promised this, no one helped. Secondly, the safes in all of our family’s rooms did not work. Thirdly the entertainment was way too loud with no alternative evening seating areas. This went on till 22:00. Finally, get home from my holiday and all drinks that I paid for during my visit was charged twice! When winning the hotel about this they were not willing to help. However, the location, food and cleanliness was spot on.

We stayed at the MMV Brevieres over Christmas to allow us to snowboard all over the Tignes resort. The first “issue” we found was that due to snowboarders having a lot of kit, there was not room to store it all. Although the boot room (beware its stinky as hell) allowed us to securely stash our boards, our twin room was tiny, with hardly enough room to store board bags, coats, snowboarding boots etc (let alone our “off slope” clothes). The food in the hotel was not great - though breakfast was consistent. The evening meal varied between warm edible food to frozen bread and random concoctions. None of it seemingly well thought out or planned. In fact the whole hotel seemed to be rather disorganised and of like us, you struggle with anything other than basic French, good luck!!! Staff, signage and all announcements were all in French and offered no English translation. I know this is on us, but it was not the easiest to navigate. Finally the cleaners were very haphazard with room cleanliness and we spend a week woth an unhoovered floor. All in all the hotel was sufficient but I feel a little more care would have lifted this experience for my wife and I.

Never seen a hotel with checking so late. Got our keys at 16:00 only to find out that in our room, the window was left wide open, the radiator was taken off and some non-insulated electric wires were left dangling dangerously. Went to reception, showed pictures and the receptionist was smiling, like is absolutely normal that you can get electrocuted in your room. 3 hours passed and nothing happened after which went again to complain as the room was freezing. They eventually installed a broken radiator which it only dissipates a little bit of heat and the temperature cannot be changed. That’s exactly what someone wishes in their skiing holiday after you spent all day on the slopes in freezing cold to come back to a cold room. The radiator was only working 5-10 min/day and complained on numerous occasions they would send someone to unplug it from the wires on the wall, plug it back in, and would work for only 5 mins. We spent 6 days in a very cold room. It cannot even be called a room…is more like a closet…a prison cell would have much more space than this. I cannot even describe how tiny is…never seen anything like this. No toiletries or kettle was provided. Food was pretty poor and some handwritten labels with no information whatsoever on what it contained. Was impossible to use translation because of their poor writing. Disgusting and I would never recommend anyone to spend any money on such a rip-off

We were a group of 4 English lads on a ski holiday and we found the hotel to be decent. The hotel is very French and cater for mainly French holiday makers. All entertainment is French and there were only 1 other English group there. Positives - friendly staff - good food lots of variety - all inclusive drinks and spirits is actually decent - beer is local Kronenburg - beds comfy ish - beds made everyday - good WiFi Negatives - The boot room, it stinks so bad - doors on rooms a bit temperamental - 5 minute walk to slopes - very French - can wait a while at the bar for drinks - it’s a long way from nightlife - it’s a long long way from val d’sere - no one there when checked out so just left keys on desk - Spa gets booked quick, book it fast with reception as the spa staff are aggy and unhelpful Overall we enjoyed our visit. We paid £1550 each all inclusive with passes and kit. Recommend avoiding boot room, go down to first lift and rent a locker, leave all your gear there for €60 for 4 people for a week. If you stay there is a bar right next door if you leave the boot room called “Les Resevours” honestly, great food, all the football, beer pong, darts and pool. Staff are good fun too and all English. Defo worth a visit.

Delicious food on the buffet which was regularly restocked & changed daily. Lots of vegetarian options and, unlike most buffets, nothing was over-seasoned. Highlights included Raclette, Aubergine Parmigiana, Dauphinois potatoes, the veggie chilli. Every evening also included a choice of pizzas / pasta. Most of the guests are French & the entertainment is all in French so we didn’t bother with that but the staff are all really friendly and helpful. Great location, just 5 mins from the bubble (never a queue) to Tignes 1800 and an easy switch to the next bubble to get up the mountain. Coming back down was an easy green run through the trees winding its way down from Tignes 1800 - a nice relaxing way to end a full ski day. Rooms are quite small but once you unpack there is plenty of storage so it was fine, just don’t bother packing your yoga mat as no room for that. Ski set hire shop is next door too so v handy. 9am checkout was a bit of a shock for our teens who wanted a lie in but there’s a left luggage so we went for a final morning of skiing on empty slopes.
