The hotel is easy to find, with nice views and clean. We went with our kids and booked a room with three beds. However, the front desk staff made a mistake and gave us a double bed facing the lake. The two small 80cm beds meant my husband had to stay at a local friend's house for one night and the room was changed to a triple bed the next day. It was New Year's Eve that day. Because the room faced the lake, many people set off fireworks at midnight. My kids and I sat on the bed in the hotel and watched the fireworks all night. It was a perfect mistake.

Carpets need replacing, door locks were held in place/wedged into doors with screws. Punch-cards still being used as door locking mechanism. No lift available for guests. No aircon in rooms, terrible stay. Service was non-existent. Not what I would expect from a hotel associated with Thon Hotels. Will not be staying here again and will be advising both colleagues and friends to avoid at all costs.

We were in the process of moving from one location to another in the Stavanger area, before our travels to Uganda. We were blessed by this hotel to have an apar**ent for our time there. Having a wonderful breakfast included as well as laundry facilities was amazing and beyond our expectations. I would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to use it again.

Norwegian faulty towers without the humour. It says it has a gym, on arrival its a small room, there is broken spin bike, half a dozen mismatched weights and a old multi-gym which has ropes tethering some of the attachments. I would suggest the hotel drops the inclusion of 'gym' and advertises running routes instead. On the first night the fire alarm went off every 5 to 15mins from 9pm to 10.30pm. The shower head in the bathroom is split so when you switch on the shower, you get waterboarded. Breakfast was okay, if you like tepid coffee and half-cooked potato wedges. Its in a nice location and it was great to get out of the hotel and walk into Sandnes. Its a shame, it's crying out for inves**ent.

Good location for us touring with car. Rooms a little dated but clean and complete. Beds good. Complimentary tea and coffee in room limited and no "milk". Coffee available in foyer. Good breakfast selection. The hotel is out of the centre. Would use again.
