The positives- most of the staff were kind, except the waiter that would only allow me two cups of coffee (tiny cups) in the morning. It says "eco retreat"- there was no recycling, plastic all over the beach and not picked up by staff when they removed the sargassam. Just note: This is a budget gamping there is : no airconditioning no refridgeration one outlet for everything stairs are dangerous Parking is limited, as well as beach area- they sell spots to non guests. The days are filled with people walking through the hotel ( can't call this a retreat)

We had our wedding celebration there and wanted to thank all the staff from the bottom of our hearts especially José Majay the manager who was so helpful and patience through the whole process. Everyone in the staff was extremely resourceful, friendly, kind and did everything in their power to accommodate our needs. The rooms were so comfortable, clean and safe. The energy of the place is incredible and the beach is to die for. The food, drinks and service are fantastic. Really recommend it for anyone looking for a place to rest and enjoy the sun. I hope to go back very soon.

We love Dos Ceibas. We’re here for a family wedding and needed a place central to all of the festivities. Great location and access to the beach. The room was sp**** but just what we needed. Every bite of food and drink was very good and the service is top-notch. We can’t wait to come back.

We were there over the New Year peak period and Dos Ceibas was a welcome respite from the craziness of Tulum. While definitely not a luxury resort it had everything we needed in the room and the beach was fabulous. We enjoyed the meals we had in the restaurant and there were a multitude of other restaurants to choose from within a short distance. A little more light in the room would have been appreciated and some soap in the hand basin but these are little quibbles and the positives far outweighed the negative. Great value and friendly, professional service made this a wonderful, relaxing beach break.

What a great spot!! Dos Ceibas is the number one spot on the beach to enjoy a great vibe and live music- by far. Every other beachfront hotel was all but empty every afternoon. Rooms are simple but comfortable. Staff are excellent. This is an eco hotel. This is not a Playa Del Carmen or Cozumel resort. After a few nights in PDC, this was heaven. We'll be back.

Fantastic experience for our family! Mike, Marco and Emmanuel and others on the service staff took the best care of us, recommending food options, a quick senote to visit on foot on their sister property, shifting us to another room as needed and overall helpful in answering all the questions. The hotel is good if you are looking for relaxing time in an eco friendly settings( no AC, no plastic bottles for water/toiletries, reusuable linens and simple rooms) without noisy club sounds till midnight. Tulum around the hotel was very safe, highly guarded at all times and quite walkbale! Don't miss on their breakfast and in-house juices and drinks! It's wonderful! Beach access is included and its almost private! We will definitely return again!

We were in Cancun and went to Tulum for a quick two night stay. The resort is small and ecofriendly, meaning no AC or minifridge in the room, which was ok for December. Beach is small with plenty of beds for the size of the hotel. I was surprised to see how many people were freely walking through ,staying on the beach without paying or being a resort guest, which is ok for them but not thatbgreat for us as guests, when you think that at any point, someone off the road can come by your door. Food was good, we only had breakfast there but it was plentiful and nicely presented.

Best location, friendly and helpful staff, Nice, calm and very relaxing place. NO LOUD MUSIC. Please stay with it. Not bigger than you feel you are on small family. We highly recommend this place. We Can’t wait to come back
