B&B Al Pozzo di Luce

Upon arrival we checked in using a code given on the day, there is a steep set of stairs up to the room, which you will find similar in a lot of B&Bs in Venice. We booked a double and a single room for our stay, lovely and clean, toiletries and coffee making facilities included. To get here, from Marco Polo airport follow the signs to water transport, and both upstairs and next to the boats outside there are Alilaguna ticket booths, ask for the Blu Line pier 12b. (€15 pp single way I think ours was). I worked out the no of stops and also checked on maps to make sure we didn’t miss the stop, but it was the first or one of the first ones, so was a lot easier than I thought. Once arrived at Fondamente Nove stop, turn left and cross the bridge. Turn right in Calle de Le Tre Crose, just after the restaurant “Algiubagiò”. Go straight and turn right in Calle Larga dei Boteri: at the number 5107 you will find the B&B. We first met the host at breakfast the next morning, as we dumped our bags and went exploring until the late evening after we arrived. Pay city tax in cash and show your passports. Nice big croissants, jam / butter and breads available (I think also fruits, cheese and meets). She was on hand to help make hot drinks and answer any questions too. There’s only a few rooms at this accommodation so breakfast is just for a small selection of people, so I think they’ve got the setup of it all just right with that in mind. We had a wonderful stay at Al Pozzo du Luce. The bed is super comfortable, the room clean and pleasant, and we loved the breakfast of caffe, juice, and croissant. The bed and breakfast is very close to the airport boat, and to all the Venice attractions, but still calm. Thank you Alessandra for being so helpful and attentive to our needs!

This is such a beautiful B&B, so comfortable and Alessandro is a wonderful host. Its the perfect location for catching the waterbus straight from the Airport (2nd stop) and is only a 10/15 min walk from St Marks and the other central sights. There are several good value trattoria within a coupke of minutes and many more within 5 minutes. I really couldnt fault it and had an amazing few days here.
