"I rarely book 3-star hotels, so I was quite taken aback when, upon arriving at 11 AM, I was asked to pay a fee to store my luggage. It felt like they were pushing me to pay more for an early check-in instead. Then, on top of the room rate, I had to pay an additional 22 Euros for city tax. We were given a room on the 3rd floor, which we accessed with a code. It faced almost directly onto the entrance/exit of an underground parking garage of the building opposite, and the noise was incredibly loud. I confirmed that there was no room orientation option when booking, and when I asked the front desk, I was told all other rooms were booked! The next morning, the breakfast restaurant was bustling – everyone really seemed to enjoy it. I guess it must be because of the convenient transportation? You can take the 'fishbone bridge' train and the water bus from there."

"I don't advice this hôtel. too much noise with the room beside, the matériel in the bath room rusted, no restaurant and I don't talk about the breakfast where the hôtel people begin to prépare when the customers are in the breakfast room. "Getting around the island isn't very convenient. The staff at check-in were quite patient. The room felt a bit old, with some cracks on the ceiling. The bathroom drain had a bad odor, especially in the middle of the night – it was almost unbearable when using the toilet. We asked them to check and fix it, or change rooms, when we left. They said it was resolved when we returned, but the smell was still there. Dinner was just okay, but all the servers were very friendly. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of options."

"Overall, I'm very satisfied! The only minor issue is that the bus from the city's train station to the hotel stops running at 9 PM, which is quite early. A taxi wasn't too expensive, costing 15 Euros. However, there's a convenient direct bus service between the main island and the train station. You can buy bus tickets at the hotel front desk; I recommend buying a couple extra. Otherwise, it can be a hassle if the ticket machines in the city are broken or there are long queues. Breakfast was quite good, but the windows couldn't be opened, so I kept seeing dust and lint floating around in the room. This seems to be a common problem with hotels where you can't open the windows."

"I booked a triple room, but the hotel only provided two bottles of water. I can't understand this. I went to the front desk and asked, and the service staff said this was the hotel's rule. A little strange. The room was very cold and the heating didn't work at all. The cup is very thin and small. The extra bed is a very narrow sofa. The location is good, very close to St. Mark's Square. But the price is really not worth it when it’s cold in the off-season. You can live near the train station and buy a one-day ferry ticket to go sightseeing, which is more suitable."

"The hotel is centrally located just off the Strada Nuova. 10-15 minutes walk from the Allilaguna Orange Line from the airport. Ponte Guglie stop 5-10 minutes walk from the Ca D'Oro Vaporetto stop. Hotel has own restaurant and there's also a Pizzeria+ as part of the same building. Both are fine. There are plenty of other eateries within a few minutes walk. The room we had in the "annexe" wasn't particularly big, but big enough. Only downside was lack of lift. It's a bit careworn, bits of worn carpet and scuff marks on stairwell but nothing tricky. There are tea and coffee making facilities, but only powdered milk What really elevates it was the attitude of the staff. From first arrival and the offer to take up our luggage, through breakfast service and answering queries everybody was really helpful. One member of staff even took time to mark up a map with the location of bookshops. Doubt I'd have got that in most UK Hotels. If the lady who did that sees this review "Grazie mille, ho trovato il mio libro." In fact the helpfulness started even before we arrived with excellent instructions on exactly how to get there from the airport."
