Yes, certainly a first class, very professionally run hotel. We chose one of the suites at the front of the hotel, very spacious, and well fitted out. However, if you are a light sleeper, then you may wish to choose a room at the back of the hotel, because the bells in the church across the square start ringing at 6:30 am ! Not a problem for us as we were up anyway for an early start on our snowshoeing tours but it might bother some. The food was of high-quality, though not every night!. The wine list is amazing and actually quite good value. An immense amount of thought has gone into it. The hotel is very well located for travelling through the valley and for many active pursuits . We will definitely stay again.

We visit every year and this hotel improves year over year. There is always a new delight. This year: new ski room, wine room, extended bar seating/ relaxing area. The best thing is we always feel like this is a second home. So comfortable and amazing food. The rooms are so relaxing and well appointed. The area has so much to do. Skiing, hiking, eating, and relaxing. We always Love our visits. This is a must stay.

The Hotel Adler was a perfect place for our snowshoeing holiday. Our room was large, had a hot shower, and plenty of room for our luggage. As an all inclusive, the breakfast was delicious with numerous selections to build your own muesli or granola, 6 or more choices of breads, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, juices, and coffee/tea. They provided Tupperware containers for you to make your own lunch, and in the evening you were treated to a 5 course meal. We took advantage of the indoor pool and sauna, plus I also splurged for a 1 hour massage. It was sublime! The staff were so friendly and helpful! It was a great experience!!

Really enjoyed our snowshoeing holiday here. A warm, comfortable place to rest your aching limbs after a day in the mountains. I particularly enjoyed the pool though the temperature could have been a little warmer. Sauna , steam room and spa were all enjoyed by our our party. There is a gym which is reasonably equipped. We ate the table d’hote menu- a modernish take on Tyrolese cuisine. The main course did disappoint at times (overdone or cool occasionally) but generally very good. Location is in the centre of Villabassa with good rail and bus services - you could reach the ski centres nearby pretty easily if that ticks your box but not a lot of night life, which ticked mine. The hotel seems to have been refurbished recently and we were not sure the decor hit the right note - eclectic, eccentric, kitsch? The staff were attentive and helpful though did seem a little stressed at times. Nice local wines and spirits in the bar. Was sad to leave

The hotel is higher priced than most in the area as it has extra stars. However, although I agree with all the good things said by others, I would like to add a few negative ones. Most of the windows face a square where starting at 4.00 am a truck arrives with supplies for the super market on the square.. So you have under your windows a great deal of slam bam that can keep you awake unless your windows are shut. Hard to do when it is warm since the rooms have no airconditioner nor does the hotel offer a ventilator. Food was good and plentiful, loved the morning buffet. Only negative is that the hotel charges 4 euros for a small caraffe of faucet water or one of faucet water they buble up themselves.

After a one year break, we came back to our favorite hotel. The Family Pircher always make our stays so wonderful. They take such great care of us whether it is the room, spa, meals, drinks, skiing, advice, and just about anything. This place is like our second home. We feel so comfortable and love the ambience. We look forward to everyone of our visits.

Very friendly, welcoming staff. Stopped off here several times whilst cross country ski-ing along the valley. Excellent lunches - we enjoyed the tagliatelle, risotto and ravioli as well as the apple strudel. Beautiful hotel inside and out. Ideally situated two minutes from the station ... in case of too much wine to ski back to our apartment in Innichen!

I have recently returned from a one week stay at The lovely Adler hotel. What a fabulous surprise to find such an inviting home from home, comfortable, cosy Alpine hotel. The service and food was wonderful. A very talented chef, offering a delicious, well thought out menu, generous portions and beautifully presented. Generally 5 courses offered in the evening and a well considered wine list. The breakfast buffet has a large variety of quality produce. I was on a snow shoe holiday with Exodus and so before and after a hard but beautiful trek ,food was the highlight. The bedroom was huge with a very comfortable, top range bed, and a deep bath ( also separate shower) with copious amounts of hot water. I will absolutely return to this wonderful hotel.
