Had an amazing afternoon tea. All home made scones cakes and quiches. So much food had to bring it home. Great service very attentive. Went with friends to celebrate a leaving do. Also stayed here last year for 2 days and felt very welcome. Will definitely be back.

this was my second visit to St John’s Guest House, this time with friends for a girly day out & delicious afternoon tea. lynne & Andy were the perfect hosts, friendly & welcoming. wonderful freshly made sandwiches, quiche & home baked scones with jam, cream & strawberries, delightful cakes & macarons, endless tea & coffee, all served in china tea cups. Excellent service, would highly recommend. Gail

Went to St John's Guest House for afternoon tea with two friends. The service was brilliant - so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing - the homemade courgette cake was the favourite! Also amazing catering for vegetarians (eg quorn sandwich which was really nice and usually not offered elsewhere). Would highly recommend for afternoon tea, lovely experience. Hope to return soon!

Hospitality at its absolute best! A scrumptious afternoon tea to savour in lovely surroundings served by the friendliest hosts you could wish for. This was my 3rd visit to St John's - this time for an afternoon tea with friends. Lynne and Andy were so friendly and welcoming as always. The afternoon tea was so delicious and plentiful - warm homemade quiche, selection of tasty finger sandwiches, scones, dainty cups of mousse and lovely cakes. All washed down with plentiful tea, coffee and in our case a delicious bottle of chilled prosecco. All beautifully presented and served in their sunny dining room, just a stones throw from the seafront. Thank you Lynne and Andy. Just the most pleasant afternoon imaginable

We had a lovely time with excellent care and great breakfast as usual. The free parking and location near the beach is an extra bonus. The trip along the esplanade to the town is a refreshing walk and Weymouth seems to be improved every time we return. We will be back.

I went for afternoon tea with my mum and sister last week and had an amazing time. The food was excellent, lovely sandwiches, quiche, scones with jam and cream, mousse, a variety of delicious cakes, tea and coffee. The hotel owners were very friendly, dining area very light and clean. Would definitely recommend St John’s for afternoon tea.

Excellent stay. We had a family room which was brilliant, the seperate room for the kids worked really well. The made to order breakfast was delicious with loads of choice. We would recommend this guest house without hesitation and look forward to our next visit. Thank you, Lynne & Andy.

A very welcoming arrival by friendly hosts was followed by being shown our very comfortable room. Plenty of storage, coffee tea and fresh milk. Good sized ensuite. Close enough to walk into the main part of Weymouth via the close by beach or beach front. Our hosts have good knowledge of surrounding points of interest and dining opportunities. Private parking to the rear also. Breakfast choice was extensive and cooked and presented perfectly.

Shame it did go down the hill since I've been here last. For the price you pay you'd expect everything spotless and great value . The owners Lynne and Andy look down on you, are very arrogant and rude. Made me feel and my friend very uncomfortable. You can tell running the business affected them as they think they're better than anyone else. Which I found very weird for someone to make comments about other businesses, as I run business myself and would never judge or make comments about others. Everyone in hospitality is struggling, everyone deserves respect. Very disappointed
