Melody Inn (Yangshuo Xingping)

The owner is from Shandong. The rooms were spotless. They provided breakfast rice noodles, and thoughtfully gave us two bottles of water for our outings. We even received a small gift when we checked out. This is truly a fantastic guesthouse.

After searching through many options, I finally booked Miaoyin and truly found a gem! It was hot, so my strategy was to get up early and explore when it was less crowded and cooler. From 11 AM to 5 PM, I'd stay indoors and simply read in Miaoyin's lobby. I especially loved the massive bookshelf there, absolutely packed with books – I wanted to read every single one! On the table, there were complimentary fruits and Liubao aged dark tea. A gramophone played folk tunes, creating a perfectly fitting ambiance. At noon, I'd take a 5-minute walk to the old town for lunch, with dozens of restaurants to choose from. Then I'd come back to rest, heading out again after 5 PM to avoid the scorching heat and peak crowds. In the evenings, there would sometimes be a brief shower. The mornings after a rain were often misty and ethereal, almost magical – no wonder it's named 'Miaoyin Immortal Abode'!

I rarely write reviews, but this place truly deserves my highest praise. The terrace is absolutely stunning. From the expansive rooftop terrace, you can witness the mountains shrouded in mist in the morning, and enjoy the sky ablaze with sunset colors in the evening. During the hot, sunny days, simply relax in the lobby and watch the blue skies and white clouds drift gracefully over Laozhai Mountain. Alternatively, you can lie comfortably in bed and gaze at the mountains, the towering bamboo, and egrets flying serenely by. This, truly, is the epitome of comfort and freedom. I'm quietly making a wish that all my future travels will lead me to establishments as wonderful as Miaoyin Xianju, and I sincerely hope everyone else gets to experience such good fortune too.

Our host was absolutely wonderful! When we were leaving, our car was still parked outside, and they didn't rush us at all; instead, they patiently asked us what time we planned to depart. Later, when we got back from our day out after noon, we realized we had left our charger in the room. The host reminded us to pick it up when we came back in the afternoon. On a scorching summer day, the host even invited us to rest in the lobby, allowing us to escape the heat, and our child happily enjoyed some fruit. I wholeheartedly recommend this B&B! The host's place is genuinely nice, and the location is excellent, very close to all the attractions.

Honestly, it was just okay. The location was fine, but the room window faced the road and the view was nothing special. Plus, there was no balcony, which was a bit disappointing.
