Yangshuo Yikesu Hotel (Yulonghe Shanshui Avenue Branch)

A cosy family run hotel with basic amenities. The family room is clean and comfortable for 3 of us with a couch, tv, washing machine + dryer, fridge, etc. The hotel owner is very friendly, shared with us places of interest nearby and how to get there. We bought our Liu San Jie show tickets from the hotel for a discounted price compared to online price. The hotel does not provide breakfast. Nevertheless, the noodle shop next to the hotel serves yummy local noodles for those who likes to try local food.

Nice room as advertised and had a good view of some of the mountains. Unfortunately to get a good view though, you have to stay a bit further away from the city so there aren’t many restaurants or stores nearby (not the owners fault). Beware for those that loves animals or dogs (as I have one back home) there is a restaurant that serves dogs right beside the hotel.

This is a homely, family-run hostel with very personalised service. The location is slightly out of town as we preferred peace and quiet. It’s also nearer to the Ten Mile Gallery and the Impressions show. West street is just a ten minute taxi ride away. The room is beautifully appointed with even a washer cum dryer inside. We were upgraded to a family room as two old folks in our group found it difficult to climb up the stairs to the 4th floor. The staff will help with luggage as there is no lift. The only minor imperfection is that the shower is only half separated from the bathroom and water tends to run out across the entire toilet due to the powerful shower. The family room is one of the rare places offering 4-pax accommodation in China. They even provide a tent, kids toilet seat and kid stool in the bathroom, and all sharp corners are protected with soft covers. It’s perfect for families with young children and can comfortably sleep two adults and three kids. Food wise, I highly recommend ordering the food in-house. The best meals we had in Yangshuo were cooked by the boss himself at a very reasonable price. Do note that meals need to be ordered at least two hours in advance as they purchase ingredients and cook to order, so do let them know earlier if you plan to have a meal upon arrival. Service is impeccable and the lady boss is the loveliest host we’ve had in our entire trip across Guangxi, so kind and friendly and helpful with all sorts of travel tips around Yangshuo. Thank you very much and we hope to come again.

Five star service overall and would strongly recommend it! The owners are a young couple - very friendly and super helpful in all aspects, from booking tickets to serving local home-made food with quite reasonable price. We feel much more relaxed and welcomed here! The room is exactly the same as the description, tidy and clean with mountain view. The taste of the food is a nice surprise - we ordered breakfast and dinners here. The owner also kindly explained the easiest way to travel locally in details with great patience. If we will come back to Yangshuo, then we will choose to stay here again.

We had such a great time at this hotel, the owners couple are the sweetest and so helpful with everything. They even taught us how to make beer fish one night in their kitchen! The rooms are clean and the view is amazing, I would definitely stay here again 😊
