We absolutely loved the Yangshuo Ancient Garden Hotel. Sofia at reception spoke perfect English and was incredibly helpful with her advice on where to visit. The hotel is about 15 mins from the centre of town (West St) - just an AUD$3.50 DiDi ride (loads of DiDi cars everywhere). The hotel and its grounds are in the rural countryside, sitting amidst the beautiful karst hills. The room itself was super clean and beautifully appointed. This is an exceptional 4 star hotel. You don’t need 5 stars when you have such a wonderful hotel and it’s setting. Don’t be alarmed by the rustic entry from the street. Once you are through the front gates, you will not be disappointed. We used the free bicycles from the hotel to ride along the river to the Dragon Bridge. The views of the karst hills next to the river and the rice fields were exceptional. This was one of the experiences that we will treasure. It was absolutely worthwhile staying in this fabulous in Yangshuo for a night after the river cruise from Guilin (we have been to many places in the world and the scenery along the river was the absolute best that we have ever seen - take a 4 star boat and you will also have memories to last a lifetime). The room was extremely clean and large - we had a family room with a massive king bed and a queen bed). Bathroom was really nice. Free drinks in the room’s minbar. Good breakfast was included, along with afternoon tea. There’s a good sized pool. Catch a DiDi for about RMB160 back to Guilin. Save yourself the trouble of looking for another hotel in Yangshuo. We highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience.

This tea-themed hotel I stayed at was a real surprise! From the very beginning, I felt incredibly caring—the owner even provided pick-up and drop-off, saving me a lot of trouble finding my way around. The hotel's ambiance far exceeded my expectations, far superior to the city-friendly chain hotels I've stayed in before. The elegant atmosphere of tea culture permeated every corner, making it incredibly comfortable. Even more unexpected, the hotel even had a swimming pool, perfect for relaxing on my downtime. The breakfast was also highly recommended; it was quite substantial and featured a variety of local snacks that were incredibly delicious. Plus, you can buy tickets directly at the hotel, which was quite affordable and very convenient. My only regret was that I was so caught up in the experience that I forgot to take photos to document it, so I could share them with everyone. Overall, I highly recommend it! Also, if you're planning a bamboo raft ride from Jinlong Bridge, definitely book here, as the Jiuxian Pier is right next to it, allowing you to catch your ride at 7:30 AM and return for breakfast.

Great hotel! I got a room on the fifth floor with great view and balcony. The breakfast had Chinese and Western options, and fresh fruits. Enjoyed my stay here. Location is good, it is easy and fast to grab didi wherever you are planning to go. The host is very kind and helped my to plan and book different activities. The rooms are spacious and they clean them everyday. Best place to relax.

I would highly recommend this room to anyone who wants to really appreciate the spectacular views from this hotel. There's a private terrace with a swing that looks directly onto the mountains, a cold bath, sun loungers with parasol, outside seating, glass floor area and mirrored floor. The room itself has floor to ceiling windows, and windows in the roof with electronic blinds. On clear nights you can lie in bed and look up at the stars, and when it's raining the whole scenery becomes misty and atmospheric. The room is on the 5th floor with no lift, but the staff were extremely accommodating for me (I have an injury to my knee that made the stairs difficult), bringing my cases, food and drink to me whenever I needed it. It made my stay so much easier, and less painful. They were also great for recommendations and helping to make bookings.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The location was great, the staff were friendly and could speak English, and the food at the hotel was amazing. This was one of our best experiences in China. I would recommend this place to anyone. The villa/farmhouse we stayed in is perfect for big groups. The villa/farmhouse has 5 big bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with a shower and western toilet. The food at the hotel was brilliant! The courtyard in front was lovely in the mornings for breakfast, and the restaurant on the roof was amazing in the evening, looking over the mountains. We loved it, will definitely be back there soon! Thank you for an amazing stay and friendly hospitality.

One of the best hotels I have been to, probably the best in China! I was planning to stay one night, but fell in love with the hotel and extended one more night!!! I was totally impressed, it was better than expected! Everyone in the reception was very friendly and attentive to all my needs. They also upgraded my room for free (unexpected surprise)!! The view was breathtaking, and it looked like a landscape painting. The overall environment was warm and quiet. The location was great, transportation was convenient, with hotel buggy helping with transfer from one building to another, and the room was super clean, good for fussy people like me. The housekeepers, Xiaoying and Xiaogu, were very thoughtful and helped me solve many problems. There is a wechat group where there's a group of people working in the hotel to help solve problems, and the response is immediate! Also, the photographer, Cai Cai, took beautiful photos with great photography skills!! I also loved the dress I rented from the shop. ❤️ Such a memorable stay, will definitely come again!! ❤️

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Li Yu Hotel West Street in Yangshuo, and I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel itself is perfectly located just a short walk from the famous West Street, making it an ideal base for exploring the charming old town, vibrant night markets, and scenic spots along the Li River. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel maintains a calm and peaceful atmosphere, which is perfect after a day of sightseeing. The rooms are stylishly designed, clean, and spacious, with modern amenities and touches of traditional Chinese décor that give it a unique local charm. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed, spotless bathroom, and thoughtful extras like complimentary tea, water, and quality toiletries. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout my stay, which made it easy to plan my daily trips. Another highlight was the rooftop area, where I enjoyed relaxing in the evening with a view of the surrounding karst mountains – a truly magical experience. The front desk staff also went out of their way to help me book a bamboo rafting tour and gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants and cafes. Overall, Li Yu Hotel West Street offers exceptional value for money, blending great service, prime location, and comfortable accommodation. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Yangshuo, whether you’re here for adventure, culture, or just to unwind in one of China’s most picturesque towns.

1. The boss has been running a local B&B for more than ten years and has many valuable suggestions for avoiding pitfalls, which saved a lot of money for this May Day trip. 2. The hotel is located near Qianguqing. The location is better than during the peak season. If the middle section of Yulong River is too blocked and close to Shili Gallery, you can turn into the Shili Gallery rice fields next to the hotel. 3. The boss helped me book the itinerary to watch the sunrise, and the price was much cheaper than booking through a travel agency. This trip was very pleasant, thank you boss

The room was spotless. We're a family of four, and we booked a twin room; pushing the two beds together made it super convenient. The guesthouse is located right near the 'Impression Liu Sanjie' show. After grabbing some beer fish, we went straight to the performance, which starts at 8 PM. I recommend getting there early as there are pre-show activities inside. If you have kids, I also suggest checking out the mountaintop cafe and the 'Heart of the Earth Adventure' near the hotel [the mountaintop cafe is fantastic for sunrise views]. There's a 42-yuan combo ticket that gets you into both places and includes a drink. You can rent an electric scooter from the hotel to get there. The hotel's location is also convenient for attractions like the Yulong River Shuiedi Rafting, Ten-Mile Gallery, and West Street. Most importantly, the owner is incredibly kind and hospitable 😎😎😎. I arrived at Yangshuo Station by high-speed rail. For your arrival, I recommend visiting Xingping Ancient Town [check out 'Sunrise Cloud Cafe' for a 20-yuan background photo spot]. On your way back, consider the Longjing River rafting. In between, you can explore attractions like the Yulong River, Ten-Mile Gallery, and West Street [rent an electric scooter from the hotel for these trips]. Travel Tip: If you can't get Yulong River Shuiedi rafting tickets online via the mini-program, you can usually buy them offline if you go early, though it tends to be crowded.
