Before checking in, we were quite particular about hygiene, so we specifically requested that there be no hair on the bedsheets. While no hair is a basic hygiene standard for any hotel, we emphasized this multiple times.
Upon our arrival at the hotel, we found three hairs on the bedsheets. We had them changed that day, but the process wasn't very professional; the duvet even dragged on the floor.
Then we discovered that for a suite costing over 1,000 yuan, only the bathroom had tissues. There were no tissues on the desk, in the living room, or in the bedroom. This is quite unusual for a hotel in this price range.
Before our stay, the hotel contacted us to confirm three guests, with a 15-year-old child who wouldn't need children's amenities, just adult toiletries. However, upon check-in, only two adult sets were provided, missing one.
Regarding the water flow, the cold water flow was extremely weak, likely a faucet issue. Also, the air conditioning blew directly onto the head of the bed, making sleeping very uncomfortable. This might be due to the room type; other room types might not have this problem.
I reported all of these issues to the front desk the next morning. They replied that the bedroom tissues were in the closet, and that engineering would come to check the pipes and AC, and would follow up after resolution. By 6 PM, I hadn't received a reply, so I called the hotel to inquire. They said everything had been resolved, apologized for the situation, and mentioned sending a fruit platter.
When I returned in the evening, the water flow was better. I still couldn't find the other pack of tissues in the closet. The air conditioning was still blowing on the bed, but the dental kits had been replenished. My leftover snacks hadn't been cleared, and the 'fruit platter' was just one peach, no different from what's usually provided.
That's the honest account of events.
What can I say? For a new hotel with 180-degree windows and electric curtains, the hardware is good. But the service... it just doesn't feel like a five-star hotel, including their response time and how they handle issues.
They say all the right things, but they don't deliver. They initially said they would change my room if the AC couldn't be fixed, and assured me they would confirm. In reality, the AC was not addressed.
