Hotels in Yufuin Onsen, Yufu

very happy to have booked this hotel. very well located hotel, walkable fr yufuin station. breakfast and dinner every day was very nice, some days better than others but excellent nonetheless. place is a little old but is well kept. room is also rather large and we had the mountain view which was amazing. hotel onsen water can be a little too hot, so sensitive ppl do be careful. will come again.

Exquisite accommodation - service, food and onsen. The room size is very spacious, with separate living room and bedroom. Onsen environment was fantastic, with choice for both shared with other Ryokan guests and for private use (1st come 1st serve basis). My family was very delighted with all the breakfasts and dinners, and each meal is always a surprise to our palate without disappointment. However, on the 2nd day we were ushered into a room that was next to their service pantry. It was noisy and the spotlight in that dining room was too hot despite the cold weather. This was the only area that marred the enjoyment. There was happy hour in the evening, and complimentary self-service bar was enjoyed by all guests. Baien is framed by a beautiful scenery but you would need a car as the location is not too near town area. Great base to venture to other areas of interest and return to each day for zen relaxation.

It took 20 minutes or so from the station, but the last climb was difficult. It was about 6 minutes? but the slope was 45 degrees... It was difficult because of the suitcase, but the accommodation was so pretty. The staff were friendly, the facilities were great, and I stayed for one night at a cheap price because it was a weekday. In my opinion, it's probably the place with the best hot spring view in Yufuin. I want to visit again next time.

Nice hotel. Room is very spacious and we enjoyed the outdoor onsen facilities. We only tried the breakfast & the food was good. Was very disappointed that our paid kaiseki dinner was cancelled due to our late arrival. We tried contacting the hotel in advance via trip apps to inform that we will be late ( we lost gps signal & got lost driving on the way to yufuin) but did not receive any response. When we were near the hotel, received a message from hotel that our dinner was cancelled. Tried speaking to hotel but to no avail, they also refuse our request to take the dinner on another day.

The pick-up service responded immediately via Gmail, so it was convenient to take me there, and the service was very friendly. The private bath in the accommodation was great, and the view was so pretty! You can eat kaiseki in a private room, and the taste, service, and sake were all the best. It was so convenient that they even took you back. A place I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area! It was the best. *The puppy is cute (Name: Hei-chan)

This onsen hotel look rather old and tired from the outside, but besides that, everything about it exceeded my expectations. Location is just about a 6-7 minutes' walk from the train station. We stayed in the Japanese style room, which was clean, fairly spacious and overlooking the mountains. Onsen was good with both indoor and outdoor pools on the ground floor and first floor, swapping between males and females at allocated hours. As for the dinner, it was simply awesome! It was the standard buffet eat and drink all you can type, except it was not so standard with the standard food and the usual house pour. Dinner was widespread and high-quality stuff (graded wagyu steak) and a selection of whisky and premium beer lager. (Beer not the usual plastic cups BUT BY THE BOTTLES!) It was no surprise that queues start forming at 5.30pm even though dinner officially only start at 6. So, if Sansuikan is your pick, make sure you make a reservation with dinner.

The service is attentive, the clerk is polite and kind, and the breakfast and dinner are rich. It's basically difficult to communicate without speaking Japanese. I thought I booked a room with a private hot spring bath, but I didn't know it was true until I got to the room.

I went to play with my mom, sister, and brother. Call and pick up on time The accommodation is so far away that it's great except for having to stay in the accommodation. I went out for a walk after dinner, but it was too dark, so I went somewhere. The hot spring water is good and the food is very delicious. I stayed one night, but it was a bit disappointing to stay one night Must stay at least 2 nights

The environment is beautiful, and taking photos in the pavilion is quite interesting. It is also quite close to Yufuin for shopping. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the service staff are very friendly and polite. They will do their best to assist with any inquiries. The hotel has a private hot spring room, which is very thoughtful. And there is a pick-up service from the station to the hotel, which is ideal.

I booked a mountain view room, but the room was smaller compared to the same price. There was no bathroom in the room, only a toilet. What was more dissatisfying was that everything needed to be reserved. When the time was almost up, the phone in the room kept ringing. It is a hot spring hotel that is in a hurry and cannot take it easy to catch the ducks. When it was time to soak in the hot spring, a staff member kept banging on the door of the private hot spring, which was very uncomfortable.
