Carol is a wonderful hostess, kind, welcoming, friendly. She speaks excellent English. She helped me with tickets and advised what routes to take and how to better pass them in the park. The place is very clean, light, with a very nice design. In their restaurant they serve delicious homemade food! This hotel has everything you need to come back after exploring the park and get all the pleasure relaxing there. As for me, I was writing my book there, and the whole peaceful atmosphere of the place and people there inspired me a lot. Many thanks to all and everyone! Wish you success and flourishing! A simple authentic family run place in real China. Carol and her family are so kind you get village life with all the perks of tourist assistance. Perfect for the Zhangjiajie Park and surrounding local life. Home cooked food from Carol and her mum and all really inexpensive. Thank you. An authentic China experience. You will get help with everything.

Carol and her family could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Good, clean, simple accommodation a short walk from the quietest and best entrance to the park. Great food, lots of advice, transfers, guide, help getting COVID tests...

The service at Tongfu Inn was great! Carol and her family were very friendly and accommodating. The manager, Carol, who speaks English, was a great help for me and my friend while we stayed there. She helped us with booking rides, buying tickets and showing us the route and providing other tips for a smooth trip. We met great groups of people from different places at the Inn as well. You can order breakfast (15 yuan per person) from 3 options, and the dinner is like a regular restaurant; you order from the menu and it is pretty reasonable and tasty! Overall we really enjoyed our trip there and the people we met at the Inn. The location is great! It is 5 minutes walk from the West Gate of the Zhangjiajie National Park (which is close to Avatar mountain and from there, you can go to Tianzi Mountain). The room was clean and bedding were clean. We wanted to have a western style toilet but we got the room with the squat toilet, but it was not a big problem for us. At the Inn they also sell some drinks, beer, water, snacks, and rain coats and shoe covers in case of the rainy day. Thank you so much Carol for your hospitality! Please say hi to your mom and dad.
