My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 60th birthday with a bit of luxury and I wanted to return to the Balkans after serving there in the 90s following the war so we booked a 10 day holiday in June 2022 for summer 23 flying out on 28th July to Split and at TUI Blue Adriatic Beach in Croatia, because we wanted something special we decided to upgrade to a Swim up Pool room so we didn’t have to compete in the sun bed competition every morning! Unfortunately and 10 months later on 13th April 2023 we received an email which stated: “We have been advised that the room you have booked can no longer be offered during your stay. We understand that a change like this is disappointing, and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. When we are no longer able to offer a particular room, we’ll always look to find an alternative which is as similar to your original choice and therefore have secured you a Junior Suite with Sea View and Balcony or Terrace. Please kindly check our website for more information on what is included in this room type to ensure that this alternative room will be acceptable to you”. As you can see there was no explanation as to why and despite contacting TUI directly both through email and phone they were unable to provide me with a reason, I also contacted the hotel directly and they blamed TUI but when I went back to TUI with this information they still failed to confirm why the room had been cancelled. The hotel has an app so I started communicating through that and to my surprise we weren’t alone, and while at the resort we established it was common and I am aware of at least another 6 couples celebrating occasions who had their rooms cancelled! There are 24 swim up rooms which were all fully functional though many were unoccupied and what we discovered was that they were being rented out daily at a cost of 125€ (£107) which was approximately £42 a night more than I and others had paid in 2022 when we booked our holidays. As we know prices increased significantly during the period June 22 to Summer 23 and TUI obviously saw an opportunity to profiteer, if TUI cancelled all 24 rooms booked in 2022 at a cost of £65 a night and charged £107 in Summer 23 they would have seen an increased profitability of over £31k each month over customer service and loyalty! TUI did say that we could change our hotel and destination, but because they cancelled the rooms so close to the actual start we were unable to find anything remotely suitable for the price we paid when we booked in June 2022 and we were told that the same cancellation rules applied so we would have been significantly out of pocket through their greed! All we all want is for TUI to inform us why they cancelled the rooms people had booked well in advance in good faith. The food was very repetitive so we ate out a could of times which is disappointing when it’s all inclusive, overall we were very disappointed and we absolutely wouldn’t recommend or return to

Visited at beginning of October and our first visit to Croatia. Travelled on a TUI holiday with flights by easyJet from Luton. Delayed 24 hours due to severe storm but easyJet did there best and put us up overnight eventually. Hotel is a fair distance (140mins) from airport which (Split) is probably the cleanest I have ever seen. It is set at the base of a mountain and most rooms inc ours had a perfect sea view. Totally spotless, clean and modern with spacious rooms. Beach is spotlessly clean but pebbly and the sea warm and crystal clear. No problems getting sun beds but sometimes a queue at the pool bar as the beach bar was not open. Food generally good with plenty of choice and variety. Maybe a little more salad choice in comparison to Turkish or Greek hotels if was being highly critical. Expected a little more from the Mojito bar which was really just a standard bar and the mojitos and cocktails were ok as was the beer. Evening entertainment was mainly singers which were ok but more background rather than entertainment. After losing a day to delays we didn’t do any trips other than go to Makarska which is equally stunning. All in all a good first trip to Croatia and will go back at some point.

I’ve recently returned from a week’s stay at this hotel and had a fantastic time. The hotel is in beautiful location with stunning views of the sea and mountains, with lots of lush greenery thrown into the mix. From start to finish the hotel staff were exceptional - incredibly friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming and this extended through to all areas of the hotel including the restaurants and bars. Nothing seems like too much trouble. The food was equally as exceptional. As a vegetarian I’m always concerned about what food I’ll eat, however I needn’t have worried here - the variety and choice was superb, super fresh and very delicious. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, don’t worry because you’ll be well catered for! Always lots of fresh veg and salad too. The desserts are also so so good. We booked a swim up room which was spacious, exceptionally clean, quiet and had a beautiful terrace with sun loungers, access to the swim up pool and beautiful sea/pool/beach views. If it’s a special occasion or if you just want access to a pool more freely and want to treat yourself, I’d recommend upgrading! There are some beautiful walks in both directions from this hotel also, so although there might not be a ton of amenities to walk to, you at least can explore the beautiful coastline and take in some amazing views along the way. All in all, if you’re thinking about booking this hotel, do it. Yes the transfer is long, but it’s worth it. Plus if your experience is the same as ours, Split airport is super organised and quick so you’re on your way in no time and there are some beautiful views along the way. We’ll be back - thank you TUI Blue Adriatic Beach for a wonderful stay!

A very nice hotel in a beautiful spot we had a very enjoyable time here. The hotel staff were very nice, the room (a standard double) was very comfortable and we had a great view. Beware for those with mobility issues, there are a lot of steps to the pool (we counted 99 from the pool to the first lift) and there is no lift so do not go here if you struggle with steps as there simply is no way round this. As others have commented, the transfer is long (2 hours minimum), but the views are good so we did not mind it. The food we found to be generally good, but was sometimes over seasoned with salt and there was a lack of vegetables on some days. The desserts were incredible however. The coffee was absolutely appalling from the drinks machines in the restaurant but there was a coffee “shop” that served decent coffee which you could get a drink from and then take down to breakfast if desired. The waiter service for the drinks in the restaurant could be very slow but we discovered this depended on where you sat and which waiter was allocated as some were faster than others. The pool area I felt needed a good clean in places - it wasn’t horribly dirty but there were a couple of days where a good sweep and a thorough de grime of the channel next to the outer wall of the area (it was covered in dirt, hair and grime) would have worked wonders. The biggest issue was getting a bed round the pool - if you were not up and down before 8.45 then chances of finding a good spot were slim. The beach area had lots of sun beds however and there were usually spaces there. Basically the pool area is not big enough for the number of guests which is a shame. They could have done with a few extra umbrellas round the pool area too. Entertainment at the hotel was low key which was fine by us, there was usually some form of live music in the evening or other activity - a ****** night, bingo, a quiz - nothing earth shattering but more than acceptable. There were keep fit and other daytime activities if you wanted them, the only daytime activity we did each day was the aqua aerobics which we felt the instructor needed a microphone and perhaps a better planned routine for but it was fine.

What a wonderful week we had at this beautiful spot in Croatia! 4/5 Room - we splurged on a swim up room and I feel it’s worth it for the beautiful views alone. Plus when the pool does get busy (which wasn’t very often) it’s nice to have your own space. our room (Azur 2004) was a great distance from the pool bar and gets the sun most of the day. The bed was huge and comfy, shower powerful, lovely touches like bathrobes and slippers. Our swim up pool was lovely - yes a bit cold but once you are in it’s wonderful and so refreshing after being out in the sun. Pool/Beach - the pool area is lovely and generally didn’t have much trouble getting a sunbed. the water aerobics with Sarah were always great fun. The staff at the pool bar were always friendly and attentive. The jacuzzi is warm (contrary to what others say on here) and perfect for chilling out with a cocktail. Beach is lovely but stoney so don’t forget your water shoes! Sea is beautiful and calm to swim in. Entertainment- there isn’t loads but what we joined in for was good fun there was music bingo and quizzes in which you can win vouchers for one of the premium cocktails (more on that later) Food - lots of choose - highlight being the pizza and pasta station the pizzas are made right in front of you and then are super generous with the toppings. I really enjoyed the pasta dishes too. The wait staff are great and again very attentive. Why it’s not a 5/5 Not a criticism but some areas for improvement - “All Inclusive” there’s loads of premium cocktails on the menu which aren’t included in the all inclusive package, I understand for the premium spirits but these cocktails just use the house spirits so I don’t understand. You can upgrade to the premium drinks package but this is a staggering 70 € for two days per person or 180 € for 6 days per person. We just enjoyed the premium cocktails after winning some quizzes. I was made a very questionable caipirinha - the staff didn’t really seem to know how to make it and I think they used tequila. Grande Mojito Bar - this was actually a big draw to me to as I love mojitos unfortunately I feel this is a misleading name for the bar as they only make the standard mojito and it’s average at best - plus you can get it from the other bars! Gym - mostly fine but both rowing machines were broken in one way or the other. Food- as I said above, lots to choose from but I feel it’s quantity over quality here - apart from the pizza and pasta which were lovely. For example each night there was chicken in a sauce, different sauce each night but all just tasted like a salty covering. Shame really. I think it would do better to have a smaller selection but up the quality a tad. That being said I’ve had a LOT worse. All in all really happy with our stay and we think TUI and the hotel staff were fantastic!

Recently stayed here for my birthday with my wife, I'd read mixed reviews but we really liked it, we'd booked a superior sea view room which was nice but upgraded to a private pool room after 1 day (there was no availability before then),it wasn't cheap but it was definitely worth it, as it was almost impossible to get a decent sunbed around the main pool. Despite the management notices stating that reserving of sunbeds wasn't permitted we saw unoccupied beds with towels on them for long periods, we did spend a couple of days on the beach but we needed to be there early to get a bed. The rooms are good and comfortable but could probably do with updating a bit, the views over the bay to Hvar are fantastic and the sunsets are beautiful. The restaurant gets quite full up at certain times so it's best to eat early or late as the waiting staff are very busy and you sometimes have to wait for drinks to be ordered and brought to your table, food was quite varied and enjoyable , the house wine and beer was also decent as were the cocktails. We booked the Culinariam one night during our stay which is included and that was really good, our waiter Gustavo from Mexico was really friendly and attentive and we had a great discussion about his home town on the pacific coast of Mexico which we had been to (much to his amazement). The hotel is situated in a really nice quiet area but the transfer to and from Split airport was over 2 hrs each way which was almost as long as the flight from the UK and quite exhausting. As others have stated the hotel is not suitable if you have mobility issues as there are a lot of steps as it's built on a steep hillside. We booked a trip from someone on the beach for a boat trip to Hvar and Brac islands ,we would definitely recommend that , it was a brilliant day and the islands are stunningly beautiful, we are looking at booking an island holiday next year. This was our 3rd trip to Croatia in 2 years and was the best so far,the country is beautiful, the people are friendly and it's only a 2.5-3hr flight from the UK. If you're a couple looking for a lively hotel with lots to do this probably isn't for you but if your looking for a relaxed quiet holiday then give this place some consideration ,it's mainly couples but there were some larger groups and single people, it's adults only which is always a plus for us. The only real negative for us was that there is a large church next to the hotel and as our room was right at that end the bells at 6am often woke us up, but other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful rooms with fabulous views, Huge choice of good food, very friendly staff and modern relaxing areas at the hotel . Really enjoyed our weeks holiday at this hotel. There are 187 steps though to the beach ( yes we did count!) which is fine for most. The beach bar and toilets are very clean . We didn’t use the pool as the beach and sunbeds are so inviting. The staff were all very friendly and acknowledged you every day. Its location is stunning but maybe too quiet for anyone looking for some nightlife. Our room was immaculate but house keeping somedays could be improved. This is soon put right if you let reception know. A wonderful holiday and would recommend and return too. Mrs D

Just spent a week at this wonderful hotel. Beautiful location with a stunning coast line. Me and my partner both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Food exceeded our expectations and there was a great range of fresh veg, fish and meat. As a vegetarian, I never struggled to have a varied plate and my meat eater boyfriend was very impressed by the choices too. The staff were all lovely and welcoming. Duje was especially a highlight when it came to the staff and was very friendly. Highly recommend the wine tasting as well, the man who ran it was informative and friendly. Another highlight of the trip. The hotel itself was great. Comfortable bed and room was a good size (we had a superior room with limited sea view, however it was not limited at all!). A lot of steps and hills at the hotel/ surrounding area so wouldn’t recommend if you had mobility issues but other than that, couldn’t fault the hotel at all and we had no issues. The surrounding area was lovely and there is a lot of nice walks nearby, however not very lively so if that is what you are looking for - not sure I would recommend. However, this was not an issue for us as we had already looked up nearby so knew this before going. Perfect hotel/ week long break to relax. Would happily return.
