Luang Prabang hidden turquoise GEM!
Kuang Si waterfall is located less than an hour from Luang Prabang and is well known for its turquoise waters. There are multiple pools scattered throughout the area where the main pool has rope swings and an overhanging tree limb where you can jump into the pool water.
The waterfall is easily accessible but be sure to bring along picnic mat, food and towels. Changing room and toilet are available. There are some eateries around the area where one can relax, take a swim and take in the magnificent views! Best to visit early of the day when the crowd is less. #waterfall #luangprabang #laos #Hiddengen #travelinspiration
A breathtaking sight in Luang Prabang, Laos
I’ll never forget this place in Laos, it was simply breathtaking. The hike was definitely worth it, it was quite hard for me, and it was even harder to hike back down. Quite slippery at the top, you need to be careful, because you will fall if you don’t. Overall, it’s definitely worth it. The pictures you can take here are simply priceless.
Will come back and I definitely recommend visiting. Cheers!

In 2023, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre in Ban Long, Laos. Nestled in the heart of nature, the sanctuary housed rescued bears, providing them a second chance at a joyful life. Surrounded by lush landscapes, the bears roamed freely in spacious enclosures, their playful antics echoing a tale of resilience. Witnessing their rehabilitation journey was a poignant experience, leaving an indelible mark on my soul. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the sanctuary, I realized the profound impact of conservation efforts. In 2024, I wish to go there again, to relive the harmony between nature and these once captive souls, now dancing freely under the Laotian sky.

Here, there are no towering buildings, no crowded tourists, and no excessive commercialization. The flow of time seems to have slowed down, making it perfect for leisurely walks, daydreaming, and a few days of "lying flat" lifestyle.
Phou Si Mountain is located in the center of Luang Prabang's old town area. It takes 15 minutes to climb to the top, where you can overlook the entire ancient city.
Here, there is one of the eight most beautiful sunsets in Asia, with the evening glow and sunset. Legend has it that lovers who come here to watch the sunset together will stay together forever.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast, then you must come to Wanrong.
And Blue Lagoon is the most fun and joyful place in my mind to directly experience happiness in Wanrong.
On the mountain next to it is the famous Tham Pha Kan cave, and the water inside the cave converges into a dreamy blue waterfall lake.

A spiritual beauty of Wat Xieng Thong
Step into a realm of tranquility as you enter this exquisite Buddhist temple. Admire the intricate gilded stupa, stunning mosaics, and ornate carvings that adorn the temple's structures. The peaceful atmosphere and lush surroundings create a sense of serenity. Discover the spiritual essence of Luang Prabang at Wat Xieng Thong, a place of beauty and reverence. Remember to keep silent and peace when entrance inside the temples. One more note, entrance fee is required at the gate.
A majestic temple from the 16th century!
It’s just overwhelming enough for me to see a temple built in the 16 century. You’ll really enjoy the temples here in Luang Prabang , The city is between the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers, and according to UNESCO, contains some of "the most sophisticated Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia." Luang Prabang was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. You’ll also get to take a number of very nice shots here in Wat Xieng Thong.
Golden stupas at Wat Xienthong
The golden stupas situated on the northwest of Wat Xienthong, it was an amazing architecture, decorated by colorful Mosaics which looks like gem. This stupas is originally to put the bone of Buddha, but it is really a long history to tell.

Wat Xieng Thong
Wat Xieng Thong is one of the most important religious, archeological and historical temples in Luang Prabang. Getting there is pretty easy as it is located not far from downtown so it could be a 20 minutes walk if you are in downtown or max 8 - 10 min by car. The recommended sightseeing time is between one to two hours. The temple is really well preserved and is a pleasure to see in person. This is an impressive building extensively decorated both inside and outside with great amount of details. This site is famous as an important gathering place for significant annual festivities. It opens to the public everyday from 8am to 5pm.
