Where is the most beautiful grassland in Inner Mongolia? (Part 2)

The grassland in Dongwu Banner is more primitive. In the town of Uliastai, where the banner government is located, you can visit the Ujumqin Museum and the Lama Kuren Temple for free. From the Aobao Mountain behind the temple, you can see the town of Uliastai surrounded by green grassland. Climb the Uliastai Mountain north of the town to see the vast Ujumqin grassland. Dongyin Valley is deep in the grassland, where there is a pasture untouched by modern commerce. The more wild grassland is centered around Mandu Burig Town, where the scenes in the novel "Wolf Totem" are set. Nailingol is the most primitive grassland in Ujumqin, and Erlun Grassland is its essence. Except for those driving to Arxan, there are not many tourists here even in peak season. Even Ulagai, the filming location of the movie "Wolf Totem," has returned to silence after a few years of excitement. If you have enough time, don't miss the Bulin Spring, Nine Bends Bay, and Heshge Ula Ranch in Ulagai. The western route of Xilingol features desert grassland, but the Chengjisibogdu Volcano in Abaga Banner is the top attraction. Other places worth visiting include the oasis of Xiao Uliastai in the Hunshandake Sandy Land, the unique Arshan Burig Stonehenge, and the rock paintings in Honggersumu. Unless you are particularly interested in dinosaur culture, it is not recommended to visit the border city of Erenhot on the western route if you are on a grassland-themed tour. If you see the Mongolian consulate in this small city, don't be surprised. You can even apply for a visa here and go on an overseas trip. The southern route of Xilingol is where nomadic culture and farming civilization meet. If you have already traveled the eastern route, the small grassland scenic spots here may not impress you. The most famous attraction is the Yuan Shangdu Ruins in Zhenglan Banner, which is a World Cultural Heritage site. However, in terms of viewing, it is not worth a special trip.
