Overseas 🤗 I'd declare this as Egypt's most stunning hotel 🏝 Beyond visiting temples and pyramids in Egypt ⛰, what I most looked forward to was staying at the long-awaited Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel. 🏠🏠 Did you know? There are only six Sofitel Legend hotels worldwide 🍁🍁, and to earn the "Legend" title, the main building must be over 50 years old with significant historical importance. Built in 1899, the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract hosted British Prime Minister Churchill 👨 as he strategized North African campaigns here 🍀🍀🍀, Princess Diana 🧑 pursued Egyptian charity work within these walls, and archaeologist Howard Carter 👨‍💼 planned the world-shocking excavation of Tutankhamun's tomb here. Mystery queen Agatha Christie penned her famous "Death on the Nile" here 🎼, and the film crew directly used the hotel as a shooting location. 🎼🎼 Like a three-dimensional history book written in stone 🍁, every tile at the Old Cataract Hotel bears the coded legacy of Nile civilization. Truly, not every Sofitel deserves the "Legend" title. 🌟🌟🌟 I specifically booked a balcony suite in the new wing for the best Nile views. 🌹 After communicating with the front desk in advance, the thoughtful staff ❤ decorated the room and arranged a top-floor stay. Standing on the balcony overlooking the Nile, all fatigue from the 10+ hour flight ✈ and jetlag simply melted away. 🌴🌴🌴
