Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Girona (Region) Sta Maria dels Turers is a Roman Catholic church located in Banyoles. The original church was built in several stages and was already in Gothic style as early as the 11th century. The current building was built in the 13th century and expanded in the 15th and 19th centuries in neoclassical style. It consists of three naves, a central nave, the oldest of which is in the Gothic style, and two side naves, the North Nave, added in the late 17th century, and the South Nave, added in the 19th century.
