It's much faster 2️⃣ Chairman Mao Memorial Hall is a must-visit. Store your bags first (free storage opposite the memorial hall) and then queue (arrive at least one hour before your reservation time) 3️⃣ Forbidden City, exit through Shenwu Gate to Jingshan Park, where you can climb up to see a panoramic view of the Forbidden City (closes at 17:00) 4️⃣ National Museum of China (see P10) 🚇About transportation The fastest subway routes to attractions, tested and effective! 1️⃣ Chairman Mao Memorial Hall (Tiananmen East Station Exit D - Bag storage - Cross the road to the security check, the fastest) 2️⃣ National Museum of China (Tiananmen East Station Exit D - Tiananmen 03 Security Check) 3️⃣ Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen West Station Exit B - Walk 200m along the red wall to the security check) ⚠️‼️Important: Do not exit at Qianmen East Street Exit E2 North, you'll have to walk several kilometers to the security check, it's exhausting!! 4️⃣ Tiananmen Tower (Subway to Tiananmen East Station) 5️⃣ Temple of Heaven (If going directly to the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests - Enter through Temple of Heaven East Gate Exit A2 Northwest) 🥘About food Local recommendations I think these are the main Beijing specialties 1️⃣ Siji Minfu (amazing roast duck) 2️⃣ Liqun Roast Duck (founded by a former Quanjude chef) 3️⃣ Xingshun Restaurant (authentic Beijing cuisine) Xi'an Restaurant and Yuhuatai are also delicious 4️⃣ Yaoji Fried Liver (delicious, a must-try) 5️⃣ Niujie Manhengji (delicious hot pot, special sesame sauce pancakes) 6️⃣ Ziguangyuan (good yogurt) 7️⃣ Xiaoliu Sauce Meat (pancakes) 8️⃣ Baqi Barbecue (Beijing-style barbecue) 9️⃣ Sanyuan Meiyuan (not tasty) 🔟 Candied hawthorn (delicious from any street vendor) 🏠About accommodation Choose a hotel near Beijing Station on Chang'an Avenue The subway is right next door, very convenient Make sure to plan ahead, Beijing's hutongs are perfect for city walks If you have enough time, one attraction per day is about right Finally, I wish you a pleasant trip🧏🏻‍♀️
