Pangu Mountain in Biyang, the sacred land of Pangu

Every year on March 3rd, Pangu Mountain holds a temple fair and ancestor worship ceremony, commonly known as 'March 3rd Pangu Mountain'. We have a legend here that we've heard from the elders since we were children. The legend says that after Pangu created the world, there were no other humans in the world, only Grandpa Pangu and Grandma Pangu, who were siblings. They wanted to create some people. Due to the constraints of worldly morality, siblings cannot marry and have children. So Grandpa Pangu and Grandma Pangu came up with a method. The siblings each climbed to the top of a mountain and simultaneously rolled a millstone down the mountain. If the two millstones rolled to the foot of the mountain and combined, the siblings would marry and have children. As fate would have it, the two millstones did indeed combine at the foot of the mountain, and so the siblings married. This is the widely spread legend of 'rolling the millstone to marry'. Now there is a place called Damo on the side of Pangu Mountain, where the millstones that rolled down the mountain and combined are located.
