Saint Peter Square

#magicalxmastrip Saint Peter’s Square is one of the most iconic and beautiful public spaces in the world, located in Vatican City, at the heart of the Roman Catholic Church. It is an open space right in front of St. Peter's Basilica. It is often the site of significant events and gatherings. The architectural of the square is impressive where it is elliptical in shape, framed by colonnades (columns) designed by Bernini and at the center of the square, you’ll find an Egyptian obelisk. During Christmas, the square is beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and a Nativity scene that are set up annually.
