Jiuhua Tianchi Tourist Scenic Area | Tianhe Hanging Green Water Shows Nine Hibiscus

Jiuhua Tianchi Tourist Scenic Area is located in Mayazhen, Chizhou City, Anhui Province, China. It is a national-level water conservancy scenic area and a national AAAA-level tourist scenic area. The scenic area is about 25 kilometers away from the famous Jiuhua Mountain, about 15 kilometers away from the main city of Chizhou, Chizhou Railway Station, and the Yangtze River Tourist Wharf, and only 5 kilometers away from the Jiuhua Mountain exit of the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway. It has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation. The total area of Jiuhua Tianchi Scenic Area is 20 square kilometers, with primitive natural ecology and peculiar landscapes. The scenic area has not only natural landscapes such as canyons, streams, waterfalls, strange stones, ancient trees, high mountains and flat lakes, bamboo seas, but also cultural landscapes such as red mountain villages, power stations, and tea gardens. This area is a typical distribution area of granite geological landforms. Due to the uplift of the mountain body by multiple neotectonic movements, multi-level canyon basins are formed. The Tianchi in the scenic area is a small natural lake, with Tianhe upstream, and the scenery is very beautiful. In order to irrigate agriculture during the Great Leap Forward in 1958, two reservoirs were built. There is a stone valley about 2 kilometers long between Tianchi and Longchi. The stone valley is stacked with a large amount of glacial drift, with unique caves, connected caves, and clear spring water. The ecological vegetation in the stone valley is well preserved, and strange ancient trees, vines, and moss grow on the rocks; the woods on both sides of the stone valley are lush, with hundreds of birds singing; the deep woods, fresh air, static boulders, and dynamic waterfalls flow down, forming the wonder of 'Tianhe Hanging Green Water', which is known as the best in the south of the Yangtze River. Jiuhua Tianchi integrates natural and cultural landscapes, and is an ideal place for tourism, vacation, leisure, and sightseeing. The scenic area has complete tourist service facilities, such as parking lots, tourist centers, catering services, etc., which can meet the needs of tourists.
