Hongyadong, formerly known as Hongyamen, is one of the ancient city gates. It is located in Jiefangbei Road, Chongqing, and is located in the riverside area where the Yangtze River and Jialing River meet. It is a tourist area that combines sightseeing, leisure and holiday functions. It is rated as a national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot with its traditional architecture and folk customs. In 2006, the Chongqing Municipal Government invested a total of 385 million HKD. The main attractions are composed of hanging foot buildings and antique commercial streets. The building area is 46,000 square meters. Hongyadong is a key landscape project in Chongqing.
