In this article, I will tell you what you need to know before traveling to Fiji. 🌺 About Fiji ✨Temperature: Fiji has a tropical maritime climate with moderate temperatures throughout the year, averaging between 22°C and 30°C. ✨Weather: Fiji's rainy season is from November to April of the following year, but when we went in December, the weather was good except for a shower one night. ✨Dress: The indigenous people of Fiji are relatively conservative, so it's best not to dress too revealingly in non-tourist areas. ✨Tips: Tipping is not mandatory in Fiji, but we tipped drivers and doormen. In Fiji, it's very rude to tip with coins. The smallest denomination of Fijian paper money is 5 dollars (about 15 RMB), so it's best to prepare some 1 dollar bills for tipping. ✨Hotels and Transportation: We booked all our trips in advance through an agent. The hotels on the outer islands provided transfers, and the guides at the hotels on the main island also arranged transportation for us. Fiji is quite desolate, and I feel that it's impossible to hail a taxi outside the hotel, so it's best to arrange all trips in advance. ✨Safety: Before going, I saw many people online saying that they had lost things in the hotel. We didn't encounter this, but it's still better to be careful. ✨Round trip: We landed in Nandi. Only Hong Kong has direct flights from China, carried by Fiji Airways, with a total journey of about 10 hours. ✈️ Before You Go Essential Preparations ✨Sunscreen: The UV rays in Fiji are very strong, so be sure to bring effective, waterproof sunscreen and aloe vera gel. ✨Slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste: Fiji is an eco-friendly island and does not provide disposable items. ✨Exchange cash: The fees for using credit cards and withdrawing cash in Fiji are not low, so it's best to exchange for Fijian dollars in advance. ✨Mosquito repellent: There are many mosquitoes and ants in Fiji, so bring mosquito repellent.
