Basum Lake is the largest glacial barrier lake in southeastern Tibet. According to research, during the Ice Age, as the earth's temperature rose, the glaciers covered here also began to move. Under the erosion of glacier grinding, plucking and meltwater, the Basum Lake glacier lake basin was formed. Afterwards, the lake basin was washed by water for many years, coupled with earthquakes and landslides, and finally formed a glacial barrier lake.
