Swiss Grimentz Small Town Travel Part 4: Lake Tour Guide

This time, I visited two lakes: Lac de Moiry and Lac de Chateaupre. Getting there is convenient as you can take a single bus from Grimentz to reach the destination directly. However, one crucial thing to keep in mind is the bus schedule. The intervals between buses can vary greatly, such as 30 minutes or even 4 hours, so I strongly recommend planning your trip carefully with this in mind! I started my journey by getting off at Lac de Chateaupre, which is farther from Grimentz, and then walked to Lac de Moiry. The Moiry Lake is the one I saw from the mountain I climbed yesterday, and it turned out to be larger than I expected. It took me about two hours to walk around it. As soon as you arrive, you’ll feel like you’re in the heart of majestic nature! While the mountain hike gave me the sensation of being surrounded by grandeur, the walking trail here offers an overwhelming feeling of being right in the middle of vast and magnificent nature. The breathtaking scenery unfolding before your eyes is truly moving, and that’s my one-line review of this walking trail! There are also dedicated hiking courses for those who prefer a more challenging experience. Today, I decided to stick to the flat walking paths instead of hiking, but most people I saw were equipped with hiking gear and were actively hiking. Like me, their destination was Lac de Moiry, and walking along different paths allowed me to feel immersed in the surrounding environment. It was a serene and tranquil place where you could fully experience the sounds of water, birds, and nature itself—a truly magical spot for a walk!
