PAULINA COLON

Without leaving Guangzhou, you can gaze at the stars, appreciate Zen art, and enjoy the poolside sunset

How long has it been since you last saw a sky full of stars? How long has it been since you last tasted organic cuisine together? How long has it been since you last had a leisurely half-day to yourself?... Last weekend, I met up with two close friends and discovered this place worth sharing, where there's a sense of 'long confined in a cage, now returning to nature' that's wonderful. ✅ The Zen-inspired environment is pleasant, and the thoughtful details are touching. The lobby and rooms are infused with a Zen atmosphere, and there's a large Guanyin statue in the courtyard, creating a calming and relaxing ambiance. Afternoon tea is served in the lobby, and the turtle jelly is delicious. The coffee bar at the front desk offers special Yunnan coffee, which is delightfully aromatic. The room's two 1.8-meter-wide beds are super nice; what really impressed me was the heated towel rack, so warm and practical! ✅ Glass water infinity pool, watching the sunset in the water. The infinity pool in the courtyard offers a fantastic view at sunset 👍🏻, with varying depths. Climbing up the observation tower is a great spot to capture the entire pool, and the beauty is just stunning! If you don't swim, you can take photos in a glass boat, with the silhouette of the setting sun making for a standout shot. ✅ 'Seeing the purity of the lotus, one knows the heart remains unstained.' Nearby, there's a lotus pond in full bloom, with the flowers looking charming and inviting. Walking further in on the right side, you can take a photo with the flowers (picture), where the air is full of negative ions, refreshing and purifying the mind, and it's a good place to take a stroll. 📌Tips: 🔸 The air here is good, and on clear nights, you can see a sky full of stars, a long-lost awe-inspiring sight. ▪️ The path to the guesthouse is a bit narrow, so be careful when driving. The guesthouse doesn't have a sign at the entrance, but you'll know it by the small pond at the door, which is for disinfecting cars, and it's passable. 🔸 To the right after entering is the turtle culture education area, where you can see many small turtles along the boardwalk. ▪️ Behind the lobby, there's a fish pond where you can get feed from the front desk to feed the fish, and it's a great spot for taking photos with an ancient style. 🔸 Breakfast is after 8:30, and you can book a time; the sandworm porridge is too delicious!!! ▪️ Other amenities include a gym, billiards and table tennis room, KTV, private cinema, and a multi-function meeting room. 🔸 The guesthouse has an underground parking lot with charging stations. 🪷 Huajie Fanshe Boutique Guesthouse 📍 Navigate to Wannong Turtle Park, about an hour's drive from downtown Guangzhou. 【Nearby Attractions】 Xitang Fairy Tale Town, Wheat Field Ecological Park, Straw Agriculture Park, Mud Fun Park, Liuxi River National Forest Park, Tianshi Cherry Blossom Garden, Amy Rice Fragrance Town, Luodong Craftsman Town, 【Authentic Cuisine】🌟 Pepper baked pig kidney, bamboo root stir-fried beef, sour plum pork ribs, sauce explosion fried river clams, Hakka salty fragrant goose.‼️ It is recommended to try the Village Girl Farmhouse; the environment is average, but the dishes are outstanding. Their corn-fed 🐓 chicken has excellent quality, and the wood-fired soup is also very authentic.
