Popular Izakaya Akoya in Causeway Bay

Akoya, a popular izakaya in Causeway Bay, has been on my bookmark list for a while, and I finally got the chance to try it out! This izakaya offers a variety of signature dishes, each one perfect for Instagram and absolutely delicious 🤤 🍣 Sashimi Platter ($380) Featuring seven types of sashimi, all directly imported from Japan and incredibly fresh! The standout is the ark shell clam, which has a delightfully springy texture. 🐟 Grilled Black Cod with Saikyo Miso ($138) I’ve always loved black cod, and their Saikyo miso version is quite impressive. The fish is tender and smooth! 🍝 Chicken Broth Carbonara Udon ($98) A signature dish of the restaurant. Initially, I was worried it might be too heavy, but it turned out to be perfectly balanced! The creamy carbonara sauce, mixed with egg yolk and grated cheese, is incredibly flavorful, while the bacon adds a savory touch. The udon noodles are silky and chewy, making every bite satisfying. Honestly, I wished there was more, haha 😆 The pricing for drinks is also very reasonable!
