Planning a trip with kids always requires careful preparation. For our Hulunbuir family trip, we chose to travel by private car, and it turned out to be a brilliant decision! The kids had a blast, and the adults enjoyed a relaxed journey. It’s also a great time to escape the summer heat. September to October features vibrant autumn colors, perfect for photography. If you love snow, November to March offers stunning winter landscapes. Considering the kids’ enjoyment, we chose to visit between June and August, when the weather is pleasant and the grasslands are at their most beautiful. 🌞 🚗 Why Choose a Private Car 1. For 2-3 people, an SUV offers great views and flexibility. For 4-6 people, a minivan is spacious and comfortable. For groups of 7 or more, a 9-seater vehicle is ideal for family or multi-family trips. Day 3: Shiwei - Heishantou Eagle’s Mouth Riverbank: Stop by the unique Eagle’s Mouth Riverbank for photos. The kids loved collecting pretty stones by the river. Border River Scenic Spot: Admire the magnificent views of the Sino-Russian border river. If it’s flower season, you’ll see vast fields of blooming rapeseed flowers—a golden spectacle. Heishantou: Travel along the scenic border road and stay overnight in a grassland-view Mongolian yurt. Day 4: Heishantou - Heishantou Nomadic Experience: Visit a nomadic family to learn how to milk cows and feed lambs. The kids had a blast and even learned to distinguish different types of livestock. The kids collected shells and chased waves, having a great time. Galloping Horses Show: Watch the breathtaking galloping horses show, where the sight of majestic horses running fills the kids with excitement and awe.
