An Island Escape

At a mere 15-minute drive from the airport, we found this hotel to be in a decent location. It was close to everything we needed in Jeju City: restaurants, cafes, museums, black pork street, dongmun market, the seaside, a pier to watch the boats come in and a bus-stop close by that would help us get around during our stay there. The room was modern, of a really decent size and had good amenities – including some samples of Jeju's dried tangerine chocolates which sparked our obsession with them during the trip. However, the room was not so sound-proof as the website had led us to believe, as we could hear a couple of our neighbours during the night. If you're in a room close to the side where Tap-dong Square is, you can expect some noise in the morning during weekends if there are any fairs happening. The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk, with staff who were always eager to answer any questions and help; a fitness centre; a restaurant and a swimming pool. We were a little disappointed with the limited range of food offered in the restaurant, Latif, and also saddened to see that that swimming pool was empty and closed-off during our stay.
