Touring Jinan

Jinan, also known as 'Spring City', is the capital of Shandong. After leaving Taian, we took the high-speed train to Jinan. During our three days in Jinan, we mainly visited the famous Baotu Spring, Daming Lake, and Thousand Buddha Mountain. Baotu Spring, known as the best spring in the world, is very spectacular with its gushing spring water. The couplet in the Guanlan Pavilion, 'Three feet do not melt the snow on the ground, four times often roar half the sky', is the most vivid description. Although the entire scenic area is not very large, there are many historical sites such as the Guanlan Pavilion, Guanghui Bridge, and Bai Tang Bridge. In addition to Baotu Spring, we also visited nearby Black Tiger Spring and Five Dragon Pool. Daming Lake, when people come to Jinan, the most impressive poem is 'Four sides of lotus, three sides of willow, a city of mountain color, half a city of lake', this half city lake refers to Daming Lake. Daming Lake is a natural lake formed by more than 20 springs. We walked around the lake and saw the water surface like a mirror, green trees, lake and mountain scenery, which is very beautiful. After visiting Daming Lake, we also went to the nearby Kuanhouli. Leaving Kuanhouli, we came to Qu Shui Ting Street, where every household has spring water and willows. Thousand Buddha Mountain, formerly known as Li Mountain, it is said that Emperor Shun ploughed for the people under Li Mountain. During the Kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty, Buddhism was prevalent, and thousands of Buddha statues were carved on the mountain, hence the name Thousand Buddha Mountain. Thousand Buddha Mountain is a tourist attraction integrating mountains, forests, and ancient sites. There are attractions such as Xingguo Temple and Wanfo Cave on the mountain. When we climbed to the top of the mountain, the beautiful scenery of Jinan city was in sight. No wonder the locals say 'You can come to Jinan without seeing the scenery, but you can't not go to Thousand Buddha Mountain', this is true!
