Juye Museum Travel Guide: Unlocking History's Secrets

Juye Museum is located on the west side of Linzhou People's Park on Qilin Avenue, Juye County. It is a national first-class museum and is open to the public for free. Opening hours are 9:00–11:30 and 14:30–17:30 from May to October; 9:00–11:30 and 14:00–17:00 from November to April of the following year. The museum is closed every Monday (except for public holidays). Note that admission is closed 30 minutes before closing. You can take Juye Bus 101, 204, 202 and other buses to reach it. There are eight exhibition halls in the museum: "Great Wilderness and Vicissitudes" shows the historical changes of Juye from ancient times to the present. "Epigraphic Treasures" displays stone steles and inscriptions from past dynasties, as well as rubbings of inscriptions, and national first-class cultural relics. "The Charm of the Han Dynasty" tells the story of the prosperity of the ancient Changyi Kingdom in the Han Dynasty, which is related to Liu He, the Marquis of Haihun. "Museum Collection" covers bronzes, goldware, jade, ceramics, etc. "Fine Calligraphy and Painting" includes exquisite cultural relics such as "Magu Presenting Longevity Painting". "Outstanding People" showcases famous historical figures from Juye. "Folk Customs and Intangible Cultural Heritage" reflects the local people's life and culture and art, such as realistic peony paintings and acrobatics. "Temporary Exhibition" will be updated with themed exhibitions from time to time.
