Black Monkey Forest

This National park in the East of Lombok is free to enter and definitely worth a visit. Getting there: From Tetebatu village, you have to walk about 4 km to the north to arrive at the forest. As the name suggests, you will find many black monkeys here. What to expect: Possible to find the rare black Ebony leaf monkey, known locally as Lutung or the Long tailed grey macaque or Kera is common in Lombok and you can see them everywhere. Things to note: The forest is very big and it is easy to get lost as the pathways are not very clear. Use a local guide to go here and wear proper shoes.
