The market was small and not the vibrant, active market that I predicted. A little gloomy feel to be exact. But still I could get the food I wanted to try here. One of the restaurants (Ohiso) seems to be more popular and there was crowd when I left near lunchtime. Good seafood there! There were also a few stalls selling other snacks. #GiveThanks

Higashiyama Jisho-ji or must known as Ginkakuji meaning Temple of Silver Pavillon located at Kyoto, Japan. With its moss covered gardens, bamboo groves, and interesting dry-sand garden, it is perfectly describe “simplicity is beauty”. Even before you enter the temple grounds you are greeted by a bamboo fence lined along towering hedges. You can’t help but look up as you walk along and admire the beautiful view of a line of sky between the foliage. Entrance to the temple grounds is 500 yen. Make sure you keep your admission ticket as it also doubles as a good luck charm! You can hang these charms on the entrance way of your home or on the door of a room. The charm is for good fortune and keeping your family safe. #givethanks #givethanks

Even without a Ryokan reservation, a walk around Gion - especially at night - will transport you to another world. If in Kyoto do not miss this place for extra ordinary experience. Central to main attractions you can get immersed in this area. Full of private houses some converted to small restaurants. Also the training of Maiko’s who lead a private life in the various dormitories Would recommend both walking through the small streets during the day and evening. Gion was part of the visit we had with Kyōto bike tour again recommended for all the additional information . If you want to really understand the beauty and history then go on one of the many guided tours ( not expensive.) It will tie in the buildings with the history of Gion. You can also just wonder around taking pictures too! So many places lit up that makes it a great day or night place to visit .... and felt totally safe. #givethanks #givethanks

Kiyomizu-dera Temple
2nd time visiting Kiyomizudera but it was still amazing! I genuinely enjoy visiting Kyoto and 50% of its reason is Kiyomizudera. It wasn't so crowded when I went there 3 years ago, but this time sadly it really was 😂 But it was still so beautiful with the perfect weather and I could not ask for more. If you are visiting there, don't forget to go inside the temple taking off your shoes, then make a bow and pray for your wish. Who knows? It might come true soon 💕 #givethanks #kyototravel #givethanks

Kiyomizu-dera Temple
The Jishu Jinja Shrine located inside the Kiyomizu-dera Temple at Kyoto, Japan. It is very famous for those people praying to find their match-mate and having love problems. The famous two love rocks that believe that when you walk from the location of the first rock going to the other rock having your eyes close, your wish will be granted! But No cheating! Great experience. #GiveThanks

Kinkaku-ji
Kinkaku-ji or the Golden Pavillion. It is a Zen Buddhist temple in Nothern Kyoto whose covered with gold which it’s name was derived from. It is the most recognized image of Kyoto, Japan. Unfortunately it is not permitted to go inside the temple, but the view from the outside is already satisfying. #GiveThanks
