It is a ridgeline that connects Kitadake, the second highest mountain in Japan, and Ainodake, the third highest mountain in Japan. This ridgeline, which is 3000m above sea level, drops significantly in altitude before passing through Kitadake Sanso and reaching Ainodake. The difference in elevation creates a beautiful view.
