Moscow

Moscow, on the Moskva River in western Russia, is the nation’s cosmopolitan capital. In its historic core is the Kremlin, a complex that’s home to the president and tsarist treasures in the Armoury. Outside its walls is Red Square, Russia's symbolic center. It's home to Lenin’s Mausoleum, the State Moscow's most recognizable structure is without a doubt the Kremlin, a 15th-century fortified complex that covers an area of 275,000 square meters surrounded by walls built in the 1400s. The Grand Kremlin Palace-which has over 700 rooms-was once home to the Tsar family and is now the official residence of the president of the Russian Federation, although most heads of state choose to reside elsewhere. The massive complex also includes many other buildings, some of which are open to the public and can be visited regularly. Aside from three cathedrals (including one where the Tsars were once crowned) and a number of towers, the Kremlin is also home to the Armory building, a museum holding everything from the royal crown and imperial carriages to the ivory throne of Ivan the Terrible and Fabergé eggs.

Moscow Red Square ⛰[Scenic Spot Guide] 📍Detailed address: Red Square, Moscow. 🚗Transportation guide: airplane, train 🕙Opening hours: all day 💰Ticket price: 🌟Highlight features: North of Red Square is the State Historical Museum of Russia. The museum is a treasure trove of Russian culture and art, with a large collection of cultural relics and a systematic display of the long history, culture, and craft of Russia. It also has a dedicated academic research institution, publishing papers and books related to the museum's collections, and working hard to preserve and promote Russian culture. To the east of Red Square is the Moscow State Department Store, also known as "GUM", which was built in 1893 and has become one of the top ten famous department stores in the world. Rather than a store, it is more like a palace, with a European classical style yellow building and a colorful church next to it, forming a beautiful scenery on Red Square. "GUM" is a three-story building with a glass roof and three large arches, consisting of more than a thousand shops, featuring Russian specialties such as porcelain, handicrafts, clothing, and department stores, as well as a wide range of imported goods. On the south side of Red Square is the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, which is a Russian Orthodox church displaying the folk architectural style of 16th century Russia. The main entrance of the eight-tower cathedral faces the ambulatory of the central church, so the entire interior of the church can be viewed from any entrance. The exterior of the church is surrounded by corridors and stairs. The entire cathedral is cleverly composed of nine towers, standing on a high pedestal, with eight colorful and full-bodied towers clustered around the central tower. To the west of Red Square is Lenin's Mausoleum, a famous building in Moscow. Located on the west side of Red Square, it is built of red granite and black basalt. The body of the proletarian revolution mentor Lenin is placed here. 📌Small tip: picturesque scenery, beautiful architecture
