The Ritz-Carlton Nanjing Hotel

The Ritz-Carlton Nanjing enjoys an excellent location, situated in the universe's number one business district, Xinjiekou, with Deji Plaza right downstairs, making shopping and entertainment very convenient. As the luxury hotel ceiling in the center of Nanjing, I didn't expect it to be so popular on weekends. I arrived at 3 pm on Saturday and didn't get to check in until after 5 pm, as the room was not ready. In the meantime, they switched my room once, changing the lake view to a view of Xinjiekou direction. However, the orientation didn't really matter, as the weather in Nanjing was bad and nothing could be seen. It was better to enjoy the cityscape at night. As a Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite member, I was upgraded to an Executive Deluxe Room, but there were definitely no special treatments. Everything at The Ritz costs money. The room decor was very nice, with complete amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. The linens were of high quality, and the toiletries were from Diptyque's fig scent, which I really like. My only complaints would be the overly sensitive smart toilet, which would activate from a distance, and the subpar hairdryer, which was of a hundred-yuan level. For a hotel of this caliber, and especially an Executive Room, not using Dyson is unacceptable. The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety and delicately prepared dishes. However, when it comes to breakfast in Nanjing hotels, Shangri-La is still the top choice. Fortunately, the breakfast was complimentary from the front desk (they felt bad for making us wait so long), as paying for it would have felt a bit lacking. Overall, there's no need to elaborate on the service, as the baseline for luxury brand hotels is very high. It was a very pleasant stay experience.
