I stumbled into a fairyland on earth, where the lake and the snow-capped mountains merge perfectly. This is the Blue Moon Valley at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, also known as 'Little Jiuzhaigou'. ℹ️ The best time to visit is from 11 AM to 2 PM, when the sunlight is optimal. Any later and some parts of the lake may not be touched by the sun. My itinerary was Yinsongping and Blue Moon Valley in the morning, and climbing the snow mountain in the afternoon, and I didn't encounter any pitfalls. ℹ️ The lake looks beautiful only when it's sunny. It really loses its charm on cloudy or overcast days. ℹ️ Take the scenic area bus to the 'Shuiyue Pavilion' station, and after getting off, go down the stairs. Don't think this is the starting point of Blue Moon Valley, or you'll miss too much. After going down the stairs, there are Blue Moon Lake and Mirror Lake, and if you go right, there is also Yuye Lake.
