Wajag Island

#thingstodo If you think you are young, wild and strong, prove it by climbing these coral high hills. I climbed two wayag hills and never forgotten the moment. Prepare yourself well by wearing hiking sandals or shoes ( recommended for shoes ), hiking gloves, hat, thin or cotton shirt and brave mental. Very recommended It needed 3 hours by speed boat from Waisai. We must rent a speed boat to go here and the price was expensive enough. For small speed boat was about 12 million rupiah. Before to the Wayag island we must stop by at 2 villages to pay the retribution at 1 village and give the entry permit at the other village. The tariff was 1 million rupiah for 1 boat. To climb up to the Wayag hill was very challenging. I recommend to use hiking shoes and glove because the climbed route was quite steep and sharp coral. It spend around 10-15 minutes to climb and quite tiring. But after arrive at the top everything paid off. The view of scattered coral islands was really amazing. The best natural view I ever see! After visiting the Wayag hill I suggest to back to the 2nd village to swim with black tip sharks. Buy some fish from local people there and feed the sharks. It was a great experience. But do it carefully and do not swim if you have a wound.
