Elegant dining

The Sofitel is a new luxury hotel in Seoul's Jamsil area that boasts several fine restaurants. One of those is Fait Maison, a French restaurant that's uses Korean ingredients. The result is a nice blend that stays true to its roots. The restaurant of course serves French dishes which are delicious and very fresh. The flavors are just right and quite authentic. During lunch there's a set of sorts which you can choose a main and an appetizer. Service is quite on point as you would expect in Korea. However, I'm not sure if it's the Sofitel effect, there's a more refined element to the service that isn't present elsewhere. Everything was quite prompt and professional so excellent marks there. All this is culminated in the decor and setting, which is a relaxed yet quite sophisticated setting that transports you to France. This is all on the backdrop of high windows overlooking the nearby park, which gives the space a very warm and open ambience; perfect for any accompanying meal. Overall, a great restaurant for authentic French food using local products. All this being done in a highly comfortable and elegant setting where service on the dot. Highly recommend!
